You think they'd do both... But you think that Panther's post is the most likely way they would? If you're talking about a 'most likely' way, then you need to pick between the two right?
I think Pantherpunt's wagon is all kinds of ugly. It wouldn't surprise me if it was scum led... OH HEY!! HI CREATURE!

Dude, you didn't POST any suspicion of PantherPunt until #58, and you want to point to a question directed at him from 8 posts prior?

You posted a vote for Pursival over a scumslip back on post 20, and I can't find any development of a scumread on PantherPunt until 58.

Explain.

Creature - why is this a thought for you?

What does the last vt knowing they're soldier do for the game.

If two VTs were first to flip, then there is no game advantage to the person who is the VT knowing that they are the soldier. Just like before, their job is to not get mislynched and hopefully lynch scum.

The perspective here is scummy imo. Like scum who know who the soldier is recognizing that the soldier at that point will know who they are.

ya I already said that the "changing soldiers" thing isn't scummy in it's own right.

can I get a quick thought from you on both expedience and SS?

can be as simple as your read - town, lean, maf, ???whoisthat??? etc.
Missed this in the flood.

SS looks pretty town to me. I've been digging his vibe since the entrance.

Expedience... isn't really memorable to me, and that has me concerned.

He dropped the scumtell claim when called on it, just like he dropped his Panther vote when called on it.

I'm townreading Persivul. He doesn't seem to be overly active, but when he's here, he does present some good points.

He's a little misguided on me, obviously, but he's not coming across as having an agenda behind his push.

Not interested in voting you or him today. Creature is a possibility, but if he's town I might wrong about Panther?

ya I already said that the "changing soldiers" thing isn't scummy in it's own right.

can I get a quick thought from you on both expedience and SS?

can be as simple as your read - town, lean, maf, ???whoisthat??? etc.
Missed this in the flood.

SS looks pretty town to me. I've been digging his vibe since the entrance.

Expedience... isn't really memorable to me, and that has me concerned.

Beginning - confident in reads, authoritative, assertive. Pushing scum reads.

203- Creature goes from lock scum to "a possibility" [note to check how votes had moved/peeled off leading up to that post]

Latter Half of Thread - wishy washy, no assertions, no real scum reads/pushes

1) What happened to the read on creature, when did it happen, and why?
2) Who are your scum reads right now? Which is strongest?

p-edit: oh. so questions still apply, and I'm moreso interested in "the reason being:" for those read changes
Get over it.

When I read up at the start of the day, I thought I had a good bead on things. I don't know why Creature seems to think i should be a subject matter expert on his meta simply because I was in a game with him. I can't read people I've been in many games with...

I did read up on our previous game together, and while I'm........... not a fan............ his playstyle, I do recognize that's what was rubbing me wrong.

Persivul is much more recent. I'd have expected him to have more of a defense for his theory changes, and he's almost bordering on AtE lately, which doesn't sit well with me.

I was doing a whole lot of not giving a shit in Micro 619 because I didn't care for the whole diagnostic mumbo jumbo eating up most of the day phase.

Thusly, I barely even remembered Creature as an entity until metadiving.

I feel like you're missing the point of my concern.

You went from: I have X problems with creature. Strong scum read.
To: Thinking creature might be town. Looked at Micro 619 and think my issues were just playstyle things.

Except he was scum in Mirco 619. I'd get it if he were town in that game. But given the situation, I'm confused.
.
Hell I didn't know.

I quit following the game after I was "fired". Only reread Creature in ISO to the point where I wanted to shove my head in the sand, then done so.

I'm really trying not to cross any lines, but I'm so annoyed with the way he plays that I find it difficult to tolerate reading him.

I'm trying to fight the urge to policy lynch, because if he's such obvscum how the fuck am I the only one being tormented by it?

Liz has been obvtowniness to the point I really hope she's VT.
SS replaced into an abandoned slot and did it justice.
Panther is impressing me with his efforts to game solve. I really don't like the wagon that was on him in the early day, and it's odd how he still has two votes on him. I don't get it.

Not interested in voting either of those three.

Persivul also looks like he's trying to game solve, but idk. Something feels off about him.

What do you think about him basically claiming VT, and saying he knows who the masons are. Did that come from a town perspective?
Uh, yeah dude.

It's called game solving.

I have to figure out who the Masons are just as much as I have to find scum, because Masons are also an informed minority and may have similar interactions as scum.

Personally, I'd rather our Masons NOT get outed today, because it will give us a huge advantage going into tomorrow if scum derps the NK.

So don't be naming any fucking names and giving them leads.

A good mason wouldn't, because if/when it's later advantageous to claim, it might not be believed. I just modded a game where the masons and a townie tried such deception, and yeah, a mason ended up getting lynched.
That's bullshit.

1) If their buddy is alive, you get confirmation.
2) If their buddy is dead, lack of counterclaim is confirmation.
3) If they're counterclaimed, YOU CAUGHT SCUM WHEN THEY FLIP GREEN.

You are scum dude.

What a weak excuse to lynch town, lol.

I like in just about every game I play regardless of alignment, and never lynched for lying.

Came close a few times, admittedly, but town doesn't like stupid policy lynches that work against wincon.

My Persivul read is a small part meta (because I know Persivul is capable of playing 10x better than this as town) but my Expedience read is not meta-based at all (my only experience with Expedience is when when he replaced into a doomed scum slot and failed to save it), so I feel better about that one.
What do you see off about Expedience?

I'm not looking Persivul's day long Panther push at ALL

He also sandwiches pushing hard on Panther with a random jab at Persivul in . I actually wonder if Expedience/Persivul could be a team.
132 is pretty weak, agreed.

133 and 213, I'm not seeing what you're seeing there.

133 - I DIDN'T like the wagon on Panther, and I'd been slapfighting with Creature iirc.

213 - He kinda made a good point, honestly. Having other reads dependent on a read you don't sound certain about IS off.

Still reading, these are first impressions.

I was mostly joking with you, but I'm surprised at your response. You moved because you didn't want a derphammer? My impression was that it was because you were scumreading Persivul more, you certainly didn't mention anything else in your post.
Do you post every single thing you're thinking at the time you do something? Because I rarely ever do. It's interesting to see what people read into it.

I unvoted Expedience because of L-1. Where the vote ended up was because of my reads.

Day Ends (expired on 2016-10-02 11:00:00)
That's me, Creature, Persivul and Expedience off the wagon and available to derphammer at the time. Expedience obviously isn't going to hammer. Persivul made it clear that he wasn't going to as well. Creature had posted intent and was waiting for a claim. I'd said that I'd post intent if necessary but wanted to wait. I don't see what you were worried about to be so forceful in #514.
I'm still not a fan of Creature. It's not just malice that concerns me, but also plain old bad judgment.

If he was on the wagon and you, Panther, or SS had intent, I'd be cool with an L-1 on him.

No. That's you, and lately I'm thinking lizard.
the consideration in the perspective:
"why is he pushing me rather than SS?...potentially because I'm the soldier"

I'm a sucker for the perspecive, but it is easy to fake.

despite the derp you made if you are in fact town..though unlikely.

the "are you scum" question- it's a feeler thing that sometimes elicits a good response. yours doesn't give much of any weight to my opinion on you, but I lean toward it being bad tone-wise.
I'd like the perspective of Persivul thinking he's the soldier, and calling people out on that, a lot more if his original Panther scum read wasn't based on Creature being the soldier... Both things can't be true
I don't like this post.

soldier spec this early is in general really bad. scum have many different reasons to push somebody and I doubt they'd gun obviously for the soldier early on day 1.

Pedit: you and your slips.

He told me that he distrusts your game because you're usually smarter than this and your blind sheeping of me when I attacked you was weird.

@Creature: what's notable about Persivul's scumgame? In my only experience with him, he was town and was pretty universally townread by mid-day 1 when he replaced out. I'm not seeing a similarity here (though I admit that 1 game meta is super weak).

He answered that in #271...
Here, we posted within seconds of each other saying that Panther already answered, and I said in our chat that that could be our mason tell. I thought we wouldn't need to crumb properly because I thought that Panther/House wouldn't cc (I thought House's 396 was a VT claim) and that we we more trustworthy than you/Persivul/Expedience, and we didn't want scum to see any crumbs.
So you think being online at the same time as a flipped mason is proof that you're his partner?

Holy shit I should try that sometime.

I'm not a fan of analysis based on mechanically optimal play, and this game is a good example of why.

If I was to have made the "mechanically optimal scum play", I'd have killed Panther n1 instead of the Mason.

Mechanical optimality completely ignores the actual circumstances of the game.

Also, optimal town play is to predict optimal scum play, so there is value in subverting expected behavior.

I didn't want the Masons confirming each other, I'd have been PoE'd in short order.

All the suspicion on Perc was a bonus.

And on a personal note, I'd never "distance" as a mason. It isn't convincing when you claim after your partner dies and you've both made posts suspecting the other (like when LQ criticized Mislynch, an opportunity I overlooked capitalizing on).
