Game Rules (Modified from Rob13, who modified them from Zorblag, who modified them from Vel-Rahn Koon):

General Gameplay and Etiquette:


1. You may not quote private Moderator-supplied information (either real or fabricated) of any kind. Paraphrasing (for role claims, etc.) is acceptable.

2. There is to be NO personal communication outside of the forum postings.

3. You are forbidden from talking about any other ongoing games in any thread.

4. Do not edit posts, even if you have the power to do so. If a post needs editing (e.g. incorrect tags or a duplicate post) tell me and I will do it.

5. Rule violations will be dealt with according to their severity, up to and including a Modkill. I may also ban you from my future games for a period of time, in which case I will also notify the List Mod.

6. Provable randomness is not permitted. You will not be allowed to use the dice tags.

7.
All normal Mafia rules apply. These rules can be found here.


8.
Follow the spirit of the rules. Using loopholes to get past the rules will be treated on a case-by-case basis. Likewise, pretending to break the rules, threatening to break the rules, or encouraging others to break the rules will be treated as a rule violation.



Voting, Deadlines, and Player Death:


1. This game uses plurality lynching mechanics. If a simple majority of players agree on a lynch prior to deadline, that lynch will occur. Otherwise, at deadline the player with the most votes is lynched. Ties are broken by seniority of the last vote. The number of players required to lynch will be in all vote counts. In the event that no one votes for an entire Day, I will randomly lynch a Townie.

2. Once you have reached a simple majority no further votes or unvotes count.

3. Once a player is lynched the game enters twilight until I post a death scene; all players including the one who was lynched may continue to post during twilight.

4. Please submit votes as:
Vote: BTD6_maker
or VOTE: BTD6_maker. The latter is preferable. I will count all votes that I can understand as a clear vote, so abbreviations of usernames are fine.

5. Please submit vote revocations as either
Unvote: BTD6_maker
or UNVOTE: BTD6_maker or UNVOTE: . Unvotes are not necessary before changing votes.

6. You may
not
vote No Lynch.

7. This game will have one week day deadlines. If a replacement joins the game soon before the deadline, I may extend the deadline to allow them at least 48 hours. Other deadline extensions will only be given in extreme circumstances.

8. This game will have a 48 hour deadline for Night 1, if it occurs.

9. Prods of missing players will be issued automatically after 48 hours of no activity. A prodded player has 24 hours to respond or risks replacement. A player who has been prodded 3 times is subject to replacement without further notice. Prods will not be issued during Night 1, and prod timers will be reset at the start of each Day.

10. If you anticipate being unavailable for more than a 48-hour period please post a notice to that effect in the thread. Treat this game as a commitment. Be considerate – don’t leave us hanging.

11. Dead players may not post in the main thread. "Bah" posts are not permitted.

12. If you have a role with a Night action your choices are due to me by the posted deadline. If I do not receive your choice via PM by the posted deadline I will randomly select your action.

Miscellaneous/Mechanics:


1.
This colour
text is reserved for the Mod (#FF4000) and using it repeatedly will be taken as impersonating the Mod. No invisible/small text is allowed, nor is cryptography. All text must be at least
this
large. Breadcrumbing is generally fine (but if you are not sure whether a particular crumb is allowed, you should ask me via PM).

2. Avoid use of the
blackout tags. Use

3. If you have an issue/problem with the game, please PM the Mod privately. Do not post issues/complaints in the game thread. If I have made a mistake, I will try to fix it if possible.

This setup is Nano-Multiball, a setup of my own devising.

There are 3
Vanilla Townies
, 1
Mafia Goon
, and 1
Werewolf Goon
.

Night 1 only occurs if Town was lynched on Day 1. (Nights 2 and beyond do not occur).

Scum NKs (on Night 1 if possible) are compulsive. If no kill is submitted, a random target is chosen. Scum may not self-target.

If a scum is killed during Night 1, their own kill action will not work unless it is a cross-kill. (For example, if Mafia A kills Werewolf B and Werewolf B kills Townie C, B would die and C would survive). If scum cross-kill, Town wins.

If both scum are alive at the start of Day 2, the scum both draw (counted as half a win each) and Town loses. This occurs if and only if Town is lynched on Day 1 and both scum kill Town on Night 1 (even if they kill the same Townie).

The standard plurality tie-break rule is that if two wagons have the same number of votes, the one which, until most recently, had the most votes will be lynched. Thus, the wagon with the earliest last vote will be lynched. If the wagons reached their present size through unvoting, the wagon that had the last unvote will be lynched.

To help to avoid confusion, I will state which wagon would be lynched at deadline in all vote counts.

Anyway, what did you think about the setup? Was it a success?

By the way, I had calculated that on Day 1 it is in scum's interest to lynch the other scum. They have a 50% chance of winning if the other scum is lynched and a 10/27 chance of winning (a draw is half a win) if Town is lynched. It is also in their interest to try to kill scum, unless they strongly suspect that they will be lynched in 3P LyLo.

Also, with "Play to win the game" I care about the spirit rather than the letter. It is pretty much impossible to break this rule by accident, as if you accidentally make a mistake that harms your winning chances I would not count that as being against the spirit of the rule. I interpret the rule as preventing things like losing on purpose, making trust tells, and making bets which affect future games. The rule should probably be "Play to win
this
game", as opposed to harming winning chances in this game to improve them in future games.
