RULES

1) All sitewide rules apply. Read them here.
2)

This

is my color. No using it under any circumstances, and no impersonating or pretending to impersonate the mod. That's not cool!
3) Play to your faction's win condition, as long as you do not break any game or site rules in doing so.
4) You may not discuss this game anywhere outside the game thread unless explicitly permitted to do so in your role PM.
5) Directly quoting your role PM, QT or private communications with the mod is strictly forbidden. Loose paraphrasing is permitted.
6) I expect every player to be civil and to treat each other with respect! Mafia is a heated game, but I'll interfere if anyone resorts to excessive insults, personal attacks, or bullying.
7) No weird forms of encryption. Crumbing is perfectly OK.

Regular Voting/Lynching Mechanics

8) For your vote or unvote to be counted, it must either be in the form of

Vote: Aeronaut

or VOTE: Aeronaut. Nicknames/abbreviations are fine as long as I know who you're talking about.
9) A lynch will occur when a majority of the votes are cast for the same player. (E.G. if there are 9 Players left in-game, 5 votes insures a lynch)
10) You may vote for "no lynch" if you wish. If

>50%

of the votes in the game vote for no-lynch, the game will progress to night without a lynch.
11) If you are killed, you may make one tasteful "Bah" post, but it must 100% non revealing of any sort of game information, or anything of that sort. It must be a farewell only.
12) Twilight phase talking is allowed.

Activity and Deadlines

13) Each Day phase will last the same number of days as there are players in the game. This means that if there are 9 players in the game, the DL is 9 days, if there are 5 players, it will be 5 days, and so on.
14) Deadlines will be extended for replacement situations and exceptional circumstances.
15) Night phases will last for 48 hours.
16) In order to be accepted, night actions must be PMd to the mod or posted in bold in scum QTs before the deadline is up. If a player does not select one, he or she will default to "no action."
17) Players will be prodded after forty-eight hours without posting. All prods will be announced in thread.
18) Players who do not respond to a prod within twenty-four hours or need to be prodded three times in a game will be force-replaced.
19) If you will be unable to post for over forty-eight hours, inform the mod by PM or in the thread of when you'll be V/LA. Assuming the V/LA period is of reasonable length, you will be exempt from prods during that time. All V/LA notifications will be made public by the mod.

Other

20) I reserve the right to add, remove, or modify rules at any point of the game if it becomes necessary.
21) Pretending to break the rules is just as bad as breaking them, and will be taken just as seriously.
22) If you feel like I've missed something, or you feel I need to take action about something, please let me know in-thread or by PM.

Game Setup

This game includes 2 Mafia Players (as a single faction), and 7 town players. There is one power role in the game.

Special Game Mechanics

NIGHT VOTE MECHANIC:

Each night,

every player

will be prompted with a mod message, asking them who they believe to be the player most likely to be town in the game. Whichever player receives the most votes will receive an advantage of some kind.

GERIATRIC RULESET:

Because I want this game to be slower paced, and easy for everyone to follow during the holidays and exams, this game will be the first of many to follow the Geriatric Ruleset. The following is the general outline of this ruleset, but please visit the link provided if you require a few more guidelines:

* Every player is allowed a maximum of 10 posts in a 24 hour period. In the 24 hour period immediately preceding a deadline, players are allowed a maximum of 15 posts. The definition of a 24 hour period is:

12am Eastern Standard Time, and the next 12am Eastern Standard Time.

Please let me know if this needs further clarification!
* Every player starts with a reserve of 20 additional posts. Any posts above the daily limit are subtracted from this reserve.
* Players who deplete their reserve will receive a warning. Any further infractions after that will incur a

Force Replace

(not a mod kill).
* If a player has hit the daily limit and depleted their reserve, they are allowed one naked vote change per in-game Day.

Also, I'm not chill with RVS anymore. I think we need to upgrade from that.

Let's start our games with setup speculation.

Do you think mafia has PRs? Do you think town has PRs? What are the likely PRs from each?

The rules specifically say there is only one power role in the game. That's me. NK Immune town neighborizer. I'll be confirmed town unless scum thinks it's a good idea to counter claim a power role.

Now, wanna explain why you think town would want to discuss what power roles are in a setup? Because I can think of plenty for scum, the best being that people will speculate based on their own role so asking the question makes it easy to look at reactions and find power roles. You picked the wrong game for that though. We basically have an IC who scum can't kill and also gets to pick people to talk to privately. So that's pretty cool. Unless scum thinks they can get me lynched by counter claiming as the only power role.

I also want to clarify that this is in no way a reaction test. I'm hard claiming as the only town power role in the game and you can Lynch me if I try to retract it (hint: I won't).

Because we will in the middle of the game anyway, and RVS is a lame way to get reads going.

Now, what do you think scum has? It's definitely not roleblocker since we don't have the usual cop/doc PR. Is it just 2 mafia goons?

I don't think so. He's basically conftown at this point unless someone counterclaims, then at least we got 50% of scum at the get go.

Oh right there is only one PR for the whole game, regardless of alignment. I thought for each. I think it's a town PR, too. I think neighborizer is confirmable.

Sleepless, how many players can you neighborize? Is it just two?

As a side note, is this the first game to be run under the geriatric ruleset? Why did all of you choose to join this game?

I joined not so much to escape high-activity games but to practice my skills in making more meaningful and better composed posts. Also, one of the first games on site that I read was Restrictive Mafia, which I've always liked the idea of. This seems like the next best thing while also avoiding some of the problems that game had (namely, lurking).

Reading it again, it's technically possible that the power role belongs to scum. I'm the only person in the game with the benefit of knowing that's not the case. Although I guess my NK immunity would be pretty pointless if I was scum and town didn't have any power role lol.

Human, Ineighborize one person a night so it depends on how many nights we have. I also have the option to not neighborize but...uhhh why wouldn't I?

Not a fan of sheep trying to cast doubt on my claim. I'd laugh if the scum team is him and human. Would that be too easy?

To me it sounds like you started off with detached speculation, saw my claim and went "oh shit can't even NK this guy" and then tried to back off of that when I spoke up. I could be wrong but you seem a little all over the place here and it's concerning. Let me ask you this: what is your read on me so far?
