okay, math, here's the story – me and rc disagreed on paradox being scum. rc saw him as scum but i didn't really see it – his play this game looked a lot closer to the marked game than to his one scumgame that i read through. to compromise, i voted him to get pressure on him. a lot of his posts where he was most obviously scum in his one scumgame came from when he was trying to defend himself from his lynch, so i figured that an even clearer comparison between this game and that game would help clear things up. that's why i never even explicitly said that i scumread him – take a look:

sheep me on paradox, if even just for now.

"sheep me" – not that he's scum, just sheep me on the vote. "if even just for now" – i only want this wagon as a way to see his response to pressure, not necessarily as a lynch wagon.

the mark of a reaction test. if me flat out ignoring your request to give a more in-depth read on him wasn't indication enough, this should be. i know i'm awkward as scum, but i would really only ignore a direct question to me if there was a good reason to – in this case, i had one.


rc still thinks paradox is scum – i think scum are within elmo and dunker, with the outside chance that i'm wrong on schadd or paradox.

Tbh I'd like to think my play once RC/NSG got here was ultimately what I'd have done as town. I wasn't setting up Paradox for ML at all; I genuinely think I'd have townread him off meta, and thus would expect NSG to do so as well. I knew that once NSG was active in the thread I'd HAVE to townread her, but in the position I was in, I had to scumread the hydra (for basically the reasons I stated). The plan was to maneuver into a situation where I could townread the hydra as early as possible so as to not 1v1 them, get town lynched, and then either kill the hydra or claim a guilty on them.

Once Elmo became confscum in so many ways I really didn't expect the win. Thanks sheep for the sub-in.

No this has always been my policy. The only person who I wouldn't apply this to was Elsa and Anna with FA because pocketing FA is an exercise in futility.

That post was all I needed out of NSG. It's obvtown and explains the Paradox situation. Enough for me to townbin you guys and focus on the people I could actually mislynch.

Getting so close to the deadline was such a help. I don't think I'd have accepted a Paradox lynch as town in that sitch. But so many people were scumreading him that it was weirdly better for my reputation to "compromise".

It was also a really interesting situation how my hard-defence of Paradox actually made more people scumread him for being my partner.

They say that as scum you want town to lynch your townreads, so that was cool it actually happened the way it did. I'm not sure how I'd have recovered from a Dunker mislynch.

At no point did I ever tell NSG what to do, I just made suggestions based on what I thought would give us the best chance of winning.
I think that at that point she should have just avoided posting and given any thoughts to me and let me front, but again it's not really my decision to make.

I just wanna point out that after you made that post, I didn't ask for NSG once nor did I direct any questions or talk at her.

I actually explicitly said once "Yo I trust town-RC's reads more than town-NSG's" which helped get to the point of believably being willing to lynch Paradox.

And at that point she pretty much did let you do shit IIRC.

I picked the setup which seemed the most interesting for me.

I guess I wanted to pick a newer player (you) and an older player (Elmo).

I wanted to give Bins a power role, so between babysitter and jailkeeper I decided to give the least obvious one.

TheGoldenParadox was more because I thought it would be fun to make a lynchbait a somewhat good role.

Probably would've just stopped interacting with you. If someone's not giving me reasons to townread them or is actively trying to hamper attempts to townread them, I wouldn't play ball as either alignment.

I mean keep in mind that from my town-perspective, you could easily have been scum trying to hide NSG's scummy scumplay.
