yet, please do so. They're important, breaking them often ruins games, and nearly every game here includes all the site rules, including this one.
If you've played here before, you'll have a good idea of how games here normally work, and this one is much the same. If you want a refresher, or want to know the full details of all the rules I use, see
for a big long list of all the rules (site rules, Mafia mechanics, and my own rules) with explanations of the reasoning behind them.
And a quick reminder of the four most commonly broken rules, just so that there's no excuse for not being aware of them:
A1.
Players are expected to be active within the game.
A2.
Do not discuss Mafia games outside their game threads until they have finished.
A3.
Do not discuss the spelling, timestamps, etc. of any non-public communication.
A4.
Stay civil to the other players.
Special rules for this game
Factions
: 6 Town versus 2 Mafia
Phase Sequence
: Day Start
Deadlines
: Days are initially 96 hours, but every player has a 1-shot deadline extension (see below); 48 hour nights
Prod timers
: 32+48, 32+36, 32+24, 32+12, 32+0
Voting method
: Plurality
Daytalk
: Not available, the Mafia private thread is locked during Day phases
Action limits
: Irrelevant in this setup
Unusual rules
:
This game uses Callforjudgement's Micro Deadlines; Day deadlines start out at 96 hours long, but can be extended. Each player has a 1-shot deadline extender, that will extend the deadline by between 32 and 64 hours (depending on how many times the user has been prodded). You can use this by posting
Extend deadline
(or similar) bolded in the game thread. See the wiki link if you need exact details on how this mechanic works.
The prod timer is much faster than usual this game, as I've found that this is one of the best ways of keeping Micros moving. You should try to avoid being prodded if you can, but shouldn't feel too bad about it if you end up being prodded once or twice; I'll only replace a player for activity if they're prodded five times, prodded three times in the same Day, or fail to respond to a prod in time. Sometimes people get busy, or can't post at a weekend, or whatever, and that's OK as long as it doesn't happen too much. Note that you must respond to a prod with a substantive post; prod-dodges will be ignored.
This game uses the Lynchpin setup. This means that in order to win, the Mafia have to endgame a specific Town-aligned player (they can choose who that is pregame, and the town won't know who it is); if that player should die some other way, Town wins.
Setup information
This is an Open game (Lynchpin), with the following role list:
Game status: All role PMs have been sent out; now waiting on confirmations.
Note: because this setup effectively requires both Mafia to be present to make a decision pregame, I will be waiting for all 8 players to confirm before starting the game, so as to avoid confirming a late confirmer as Town. Of course, the game also cannot start until a Lynchpin is selected.
Sorry about the delay in the game start. I'm still waiting for all players to confirm and/or for the scum to choose a Lynchpin, and have sent reminders to those responsible.
Hi.
First off: we're not lynching townreads to try to hit the lynchpin. We're not lynching at all to try to hit the lynchpin. If we get stuff that points to certain people being scum and someone being lynchpin because won't vote, then we vote the people who won't vote.
Second: I will be ISPing hard D1. I will make sure Creature and NSG are town, lynch them if not, but otherwise you guys are on your own.
2019 stats: Town WR 76.7%, overall WR 81.667%, 1 scum defeat involving a major mod error in lylo vs 8 scum wins.

I guess I'll VOTE: Mohab500 because I don't like his avatar. (not because it's anime but because the way the girl constantly moves towards the screen is kinda obnoxious)
Also @RadiantCowbells why the focus on Creature and NSG specifically?
I've been thinking about how we could get this game going. We could start by discussing whom each player would've personally chosen to be the lynchpin if they were scum. I hope RC decides to participate too.
My choice would've been Mohab500. The GIF avatar gives me a knee-jerk reaction to lynch him, & I'm sure many of you have the same feeling. However, we obviously want to be somewhat deliberate with lynching, so we all have to contain this emotion. My thinking process is that since at least some (probably most) players will have already convinced themselves not to lynch him just yet, they're also less likely to lynch him later on.
FYI, I'm in CEST right now, & probably will be for the entirety of the game.
On a serious note, I might just be the lynchpin because most of you have no real experience with me except NSG. if NSG is scum, there is an even higher chance I am the lynchpin, but obviously I am conftown every single game so she might just decide not to pick me as a lynchpin because I am unmislynchable lol
if I were scum I'd have chosen Creature if he wasn't on my team.
Least likely of the 3 big 3 in this game (RC, NSG, Creature) to be lynched specifically as a lynchpin read, not going to get lynched on his own, not too threatening to leave alive.
Presumably he would townread me since he does every game that I'm scum (but scumreads me when I'm town obvobv)
presumably that fact makes you less likely to be the lynchpin unless someone went for something gambity

I would think unfamiliarity would point towards not choosing you as lynchpin. More people are unfamiliar with you, so they might be more inclined to pressure you in order to deduce how you react.
I myself don't know who I would choose to be lynchpin as scum since I'm unfamiliar with all of you, but I do agree with RadiantCowbells that they'd probably want someone that they think is too incompetent to catch scum but competent enough that he doesn't get lynched

Eh, it'd be a risky gambit for somebody to pick a guy who has no past record on this site but maybe they think I'm an alt for a super mafia veteran so what the hell
