After the D1 lynch + NK I didn't expect town to win esp with FaFF's gambit

wow my only correct scumread was a brief one on McQ

also comments about FaFF: tbh your "hydra" thing barely changed anything; you seemed exactly like a normal player and I feel like at least for me I've treated Falter/Fall Flat as a signature (since gut/logic is IMO kinda obvious anyways)

Slaxx thanks for modding, loved the flavor and the mechanics. I think this game was balanced, we just had some breaks go against us - I coasted too much end of D2, town were strong players and recognized eachother and didn't fall into bad paranoia, we killed the weak PR (TTTT) and left the wrong PR (Eragon) alive. We were very close to a win if Vedith had gotten lynched D2 - even if I were shot then, I think Lycan vs roster at that point would have been much closer to a 50/50. Vedith obvtowning and everyone seeing it is what won this game in the end. We could have done more to doubt cast Eragon as well.

I tried to play this game a bit more tonally town and less agenda driven than I usually play scum, it got me some townreads but I didn't capitalize well enough with it. sorry Lycan :/

I was considering fighting against the chen lynch but I felt that would have looked obvscum too

wasn't sure how best to play it. an all-town lynch on chen was maybe possible and would have been cool to see how that played out

In terms of not releasing Role PMs:

I thought the setup was a bit townsided but I didn’t want to add or take anything away from the roles. So, I made a split decision to not release role PMs because I thought that might help mafia a bit.

They never got to use their Wiretap which was disappointing because that could lead to some very interesting scenarios.

I’ll probably hold more games like this in the future but with the QTs but I will find a way to emphasize them a little les, as I think the QT did dominate discussion a little too much. Anyone who knows my modding knows I like to really try to keep the essence of the game in tact and not stray too far into mechanics-dependent games.

Fun fact: Scum checked FaFF's role PM and knew they were gambiting.

Goddammit lol. Although I still think the real strength of the gambit would have been to confirm Vedith on D3, if Eragon hadn't outed it. Although I guess if Vedith had been scum I'd still have been screwed... so I guess all my gambit accomplished was getting Lycan to kill me in the hopes that he could convince people I wasn't gambiting (I will admit though, it was entertaining reading Lycan's argument for why I lied about my claim to two people I had as basically locktown.)

Nice job town for pulling it off in the end, well played GL and Lycan, and thanks Slaxx for modding.

You're right, the gimmick really ended up not mattering much. That was probably because I decided to gambit and from there on out pretty much everything was mechanical discussion. If I hadn't been a PR or if I hadn't gambited I'm sure there would have been a lot more interplay between the two heads
