-Do not use encryption, hidden text or excessively small text in your posts.
-Do not use any form of provable randomness. This includes dice tags, screenshots of random.org, etc. Saying you flipped a coin is okay, providing some sort of proof that you did isn’t.
-Each day phase will last for 10 days, with night phases lasting 48 hours.
-If you have the ability to edit your posts, do not do so.
-My decisions are final. If I feel you are violating any of the rules, I will take the appropriate action.
-As a general principle, whenever moderator action is required I will attempt to make the decision that has the least impact on the natural flow of gameplay. For example, force replacing instead of modkilling whenever possible.
-Point 1 from the rules regarding replacement here does not apply. Unless I inform you otherwise, you are allowed to replace back in if a replacement hasn't been found yet.

VOTING

Spoiler:

-All votes and unvotes must be in

-Votes in spoilers will not be counted.
-Abbreviations and nicknames are acceptable, as long as I can understand them.
-Lynches will occur when a majority (>50%) is reached. If no majority is reached before deadline, the player with the most votes will be lynched. Ties will be resolved by wagon seniority.
-Voting to end the day in a no-lynch are not valid.
-Once a hammer has occurred, the game is in "twilight". Discussion may continue until I lock the thread but no further votes or unvotes will be counted.

ACTIVITY

Spoiler:

-You are expected to make at least one game-relevant post every 48 hours. Players who go 48 hours without posting will be prodded.
-If you are prodded, you have 24 hours to post in-thread. If you do not respond within 24 hours, you will be replaced. Additionally, if I have to prod you 3 or more times, I reserve the right to replace you at my own discretion.
-Abuse of prod dodges will result in you being replaced at my own discretion.
-If you are going to be V/LA, please announce it in thread or PM me. If your V/LA will last 7 days or longer I may be forced to replace you.

SETUP

• This setup is a modified version of Express Mafia.
  • 2 Mafia Goons, 7 Vanilla Townies
    
  • Votes will be to treestump rather than to lynch. If Mafia is stumped Day 1, town immediately wins. Otherwise, scum treestump 4 Town and 1 Mafia to get down to 3p Lylo.
• Activity requirements will be kept for treestumped players.
  
• Although the day will still end when a majority is reached, if a majority is not reached before the deadline, the lynch will be resolved by plurality.

Imagine my surprise when instead of finding myself aboard the Oxford Milk Train, I instead discovered myself on a grand ocean liner, powered in all her majesty by several magnificent steam engines! Her name? The Treestump Express.

Two of the first fellows I met on the voyage were a man of the pharmaceutical persuasion and a chap with a donkey who spoke in an almost indecipherable Scottish accent for the entire voyage.

The Scottish gentleman had an interesting theorem he wanted to share with me before the voyage was underway. Something about 50-2 being treated as 50-1 (he kept using Roman numerals, like the eccentric I knew he was). I inquired as to why we should treat 50-2 as the equivalent of 50-1 for the duration of the trip. Perhaps, I postulated, it was to do with water density and changing timezones?

COMISSION OF INQUIRY ON THE RMS

TREESTUMP EXPRESS

INCIDENT

"The proceedings are now in session. Please begin your testimony."

"Right. Well, I'll take it from the top, then."

I suppose it really all began when the lights and power on the ship suddenly failed, plunging the ship into darkness.

We had been in the crew quarters at the time. Some of the crew went to go get the power working, while me and a few others rushed to the Captain's quarters to try to make sense of what was going on.

We arrived just as they must've gotten the lights back on, and I was greeted by a sight I'm afraid I may never forget.

With the lights back on, we met up again. The Captain was dead, and although the lights were on, the rest of the ship's power wasn't functional – all signs pointed to deliberate sabotage.

We were dead in the water, and whoever had done it was standing right there among us.
