Presumably he's revealing and discussing these reads with his lover. It's not an approach that's bound to make friends with the rest of the game, but one I can totally see town taking.
I also agree with his meta-read on Maria giving more effs as scum. His defense of her wasn't that she won't quickhammer, but that it's not scummy to put someone at L-1 in a world where quickhammers aren't a thing.
Yesterday I was feeling good about unwnd's posting, talked about it with Bella and came to the conclusion that I shouldn't feel that good about it, and I've woken up and he keeps making me think he's town. I don't feel like unwnd is trying very hard to be townread at all, which would for sure be on his mind if he were scum.

I agree that it's important, but not to the neglect of posting in the game
unwnd probtown. I get that his posting isn't particularly helpful, but I don't think it's scummy.
Maria... meh? I'm a sucker for pocketing. I don't find the L-1 vote as suspicious as I let on. Null, not notable enough to continue pressing right now in contrast with unwnd being town.
Like do you actually think this is the strat unwnd decides to rock up into this game with? It's questionable town play but even more questionable scum play
In post 74, Bellaphant wrote:He - says Maria's vote is fine BC she won't quick hammer (which is illogical and a weird way to defend her), tells us he has secret reads that he doesn't want to share in the thread and seems low-key just anti game progression
Well, for me. What's to like?
Which of these things makes him more likely to have gotten a red PM?
I'm working hard on not townreading people too hard when they agree with me, that's gotten me totally snowed in two games recently
You do agree with the unwnd read, but you haven't really pushed against it in a way that convinces me you're not fine with the wagon still being dominant.
Outside of that, neither you nor Ari have done anything to inspire confidence in me yet.
I just don't think 'i don't wanna progress the game' is super Towny. *shrug* . Your reaction is kind of odd but I don't think it's scum!you defending scum!him
I'm a very strong proponent of 'if it makes zero sense as scum, it's probably town' as a townhunting method. And I don't really think the inverse is valid most of the time because way more things are plausible town actions than plausible scum actions. Something about being 50% responsible for the actions of your entire faction makes you play particularly safe most of the time.

I think the game will naturally progress no matter what is posted. I just got done with a scum game of mine so my mind has refreshed on a few things, but to impart the thread with some ""wisdom"" I often felt like a slow game didn't benefit me at all. I enjoyed when town pretty much kept lynching each other and all I had to do was back them; Powerwolfing etc especially doesn't work in this setup. While tells and behavior of myself aren't ubiquitous, I still think it's worth noting.
what does it say about the state of the game if it still remains at this pace? We've barely begun to leave RVS and the game has been officially open for about 1 and a half days. Granted there is only 9 people but from I see only about 4 have had anything worthwhile to say
