I feel like if faer play had caused a shift of suspicion onto me they would've kept up the schtick jsut to give the appearance of still not even caring, and it might have swayed back. But I'm also not good at digging myself out of holes. 2 things happen to me when I am scum, I survive to end game and win, or I get yeeted. I do not have any recorded Scum!Maru games where I survived/was night killed and my faction still won.

I'm either clearly anti-town and get yeeted by the town and we lose, I garner suspicion by a PR or other anti-town faction and get NK'd and lose, or I survive to endgame with a towny disposition for a win

I think the game was a little disappointing from the paragon POV bc it felt like people were nervous to post a lot before the hammer fell, presumably because they were worried about being identified for the exclusive win, but then that meant that the whole thing of being paragon was just... not really working due to not enough content to feel confident on any of the alt guesses

Not that I’m saying we would have got everyone right if we’d had 20 pages of content instead of like 5, but we would have had a better chance for sure

wrt the Paragons having a harder game this time around that was 100% intentional. In previous BoP runs the Paragons and Town had no real discernable difference in their motivations, leading the Paragons to basically be ICs. This time I intentionally wanted the town and Paragons to work against each other, and I think it turned out well. At least, I enjoyed it.
