For postgame funsies:

SO, full disclosure, the AltSlip was 100% purely unintentional.
The self-vote following was with the knowledge that a mafia lynch results in my loss in every possible ending. So if my selfvote succeeded, it would lead to a loss.
I Made a split second decision that the ploy was worth the towny points, and there was not ever going to be such a clear cut opening to gain towny points.

I *did* see Allison's vote on my partner and prompt to switch my vote, and ignored it, pretending I had already gotten up to get ready for the day.

After she returned her vote to me I *DID* get up and spend the next 30 minutes getting ready for the day, knowing I was leaving my computer unattended with a selfvote on me, so I did not *LIE* about my actions, just about the timeline.

I agree with whoever said it didn't make sense as Scum!Maru or Town!Maru to leave the game unattended with a selfvote. But sitting on a cold computer chair butt-ass naked is uncomfortable, and I couldn't think of a better excuse for why I didn't switch my vote to my partner. To make the timing more consistent, as I suck at lying, I felt I had to *actually* leave the computer unattended and do the actions I claimed to be doing, to make the situation believable. So I ignored the crazy situation of the game, got up, got dressed, went to the bathroom, and prepared breakfast. At this point I was just praying to the luck gods that I didn't get myself lynched. I hoped (successfully) that my actions were enough towny vibe to push the lynch off of me onto nearly anyone else. And hey, they were, they were towny enough for a towny to convince another towny to self-vote themselves for a yeeting, even though she scumread me. So success?

Was any of my gameplay prior to the self vote good play? Lol no. I also was doing a horrible job hiding my identity.

Was my self-vote ploy the best thing ever and basically completely yoink this game off the rails? 100% would do again.

the reason the self-vote was 3 posts after the claiming of the alt slip was because it took me those 2-3 minutes to calculate the ploy, and commit.

And only the fact that that sequence of stream of consciousness was purely null!alignment and would just as likely come from town as scum saved anyone from stating as much.

I'm also glad I successfully pushed the "It's either Lily/Vanya or Five/Klaus" schtick to an extreme.

Either way, we won.

Only when Isis started pointing out Vanya's twilight play painted me as a possible partner did things start getting dicey.

but it didn't gain traction luckily
