There wasn't too much 'good' logic there honestly. I thought they had a sincerity in posting for a while when they were catching up and engaging but then Ranger made a point that made me step back from it to reassess.

Really, though Art doesn't want to be in the coalition I do want him to be because it makes the game easier for me where (Me, Art, GL, Pooky) are all probably town and if it fails we just yeet the fifth. Hopefully though whoever is the fifth is just town though and then easy win.

Kind of don't like that Art doesn't want to be in the coalition to save themself if it fails. I would understand if they were a controversial slot like ours, but art is now pretty close to a consensus town read that the fear of being a failed coalition patsy feels TMI.

Am I the only one feeling that?

I'm trying to see if Gamma is on board for a coalition without us where we can effectively use it as a cop check on our strongest 5 townreads.

attempting to both talk with george and lilith and moderate a mafia game at the same time turned out to be difficult, especially this early in the day. whenever datisi was about to say something, the game required a new vote count. he usually didn't mind that, as he loved showing off the images that george generously shared with him, but he wished he could at least catch a break to talk with his friends.

after a while, the game seemed to have quieted down, and datisi figured he could stop paying attention to it for a few minutes to chat.

"as usual for those days, i was--"

almost immediately, datisi got interrupted by a small object hitting the back of his head. turning around, he quickly realized that one of the players had chucked a pebble at him. george chuckled, he seemed to find it amusing.

"we've agreed on the coalition, can you do your fucking job and resolve it?"

and sure enough, a group of six players, representing the five members of the coalition, was standing right in front of him.

in any other scenario, datisi would've told them to piss off, and then purposefully delayed the coalition resolution for a little while; but with the micro listmod present, he knew he had to pretend to be professional.

being careful so that the players don't see, he opened his moderation notebook and looked at the bookmarked page. then at the proposed coalition, then back at the open notebook. he repeated that motion five times, presumably once for each member of the coalition, although it wasn't clear if he was doing that in order to purposefully stall to piss off the players, or because just one coffee wasn't enough to get his caffeine-addicted brain to run properly.

"huh."

once again, as if he didn't believe himself, he looked at the coalition, then at his trusty notebook. after a few seconds of blankly staring at it, he sighed, closed the notebook, and put it back into his backpack. without even trying to hide his disappointment, he said,

"the coalition passes."

the players started to cheer and celebrate their victory. well, most of them did. two of them, both outside the coalition, were quietly looking at it in annoyance.

datisi turned around to face george and lilith, both of whom seemed really happy about the town's quick win. "sorry, lilith. i really was looking forward to telling you about how george and i ended up being good friends and modding buddies. i honestly didn't think they were going to manage to form a winning coalition."

taking a quick glance at the players, who were now commenting on the fnished game, datisi had an idea. "hey, i need to wrap the game up, but how about the three of us go grab a coffee after i do that?"

"oh no, sorry, i can't," lilith gave him an awkward smile, "i need to go... walk my plants..."

before datisi could say anything, she was gone. oh well. datisi didn't think that plants had to be taken for walks, but then again, she was much more knowledgeable about plants than he was - she often talked about plantcare, he once managed to kill his cactus.

doing the endgame didn't take too long. announce the victors (as if they weren't already obvious), thank everyone for playing, share the moderation notes, publish the transcript of scum's evil game plans. after packing up their things and saying goodbye to the players, datisi and george headed to the nearby coffee shop. that morning's coffee was slowly wearing out, which was going to make datisi cranky. er, crankier.

george was in a good mood, with the game having finished much quicker than anticipated. or rather, he was in a good mood until he heard datisi say,

"hey, george, i have this idea for a mini normal..."
