General Rules

• ONE: FUNDAMENTALS
  
  • All site-wide rules apply. Read and respect them.
    
  • There is no personal communication outside the forum postings (regarding this game) unless your role specifically allows it.
    
  • Do not quote your role PM or any fabricated role PM in a manner that confirms its veracity.
    
  • Be courteous and respectful to all your fellow players and the moderating team.
    
  • Play to your Win Condition.
  
  
• TWO: GAME PHASES AND VOTING
  
  • Each Day Phase will have an 8 day deadline. Each Night Phase will last 2 days
    
  • Votes will be counted at my discretion. The preferred formats are VOTE: kagami and vote: kagami. Unvoting is not required.
    
  • By default, a simple majority is necessary to lynch a player or to No Lynch. If there is an even number of living players, it takes one fewer vote to achieve a No Lynch.
    
  • The Day Phase will immediately end once the hammer vote is cast or if the deadline is reached. Further posting is allowed until the thread is locked, but no day actions may be performed nor can they be altered during the "twilight" period.
    
  • Please post at least once every four days. If you fail to do so, you will be replaced.
    
  • A deadline extension may or may not be granted; just ask.
  
  
• THREE: ROLES AND ACTIONS
  
  • All actions must be submitted in bold either by PM, within a scum PT, or within a masonry PT.
    
  • Actions are resolved at the end of the phase unless otherwise noted. Until that time, players may freely alter their actions.
    
  • No day actions may be submitted or altered after a lynch has been achieved (i.e. after the hammer vote)
    
  • Role interactions are resolved serially, with passives taking priority, followed by actions that specifically interact with other actions, followed by other non-killing actions, followed by killing actions.
    
  • The death of either the actor or target of an action does not cause the action to fail.
    
  • You cannot target yourself.
    
  • In cases where the text of a role PM contradicts these rules, the role PM takes precedence.
    
  • Feel free to ask about role interactions in cases where it may be unclear.

Game Specific Rules

Read these if nothing else

• Players may have "Enabled Powers." These powers will immediately become unusable if the player is no longer enabled. Players will be informed if they are no longer enabled as soon as it happens.
  
• All Enabled Powers are Enabled at the beginning of the game.
  
• Players may have "Enabling Powers." These powers enable other player's powers for as long as the enabler is alive and possesses the power.
  
• If an action fails for any reason, the user of the action will be informed that it failed, but will not necessarily be told why it failed.

Public Knowledge

• All role PMs contain some background, most of which has no game relevance. The only flavor that is potentially relevant would be that which relates to where in Dante's Divine Comedy the character is encountered, which I mostly kept in the first flavor paragraph of each PM.
  
• I assigned alignments AFTER roles. I made absolutely no adjustments to any role to make it more fitting for the recipient's alignment or for any other reason. I will happily elaborate on this if necessary.
  
• There are 2 scum and 7 town.
  
• Players' entire role PM will be revealed upon death.
  
• Performing the scum night kill does not prohibit a player from also performing another night action.
  
• Town win condition: you win when both scum are dead.
  
• Scum win condition: you win if scum-aligned players comprise at least 50% of the living players.

Opening Flavor?

It was a dark and stormy night, and there were lots of dead souls (nine of them, to be precise). Among these nine souls are two aberrant souls, who, while not necessarily the most evil of souls, are nevertheless undesirable for the rest of the group because of their ability to make the non-aberrant souls deader than they presently are. Thankfully, these "scum" souls can be eliminated through a democratic system of voting, for reasons that are not entirely clear.

Fuck off!! You have no idea what happened here and this was strongly objected to, including by many other people who were in that game with me, including the mod of that game. It's also a real sore spot with me.

Anybody who has looked at my games knows I don't do that but you are being an opportunistic piece of shit by immediately bringing it up and making it an issue here!!

You insulted me first Otolia and saying something like that is only going to piss me off. You had no reason to bring that into this game and you should of expected a response like you got from me. Now, I will drop it immediately as long as you do the same.

Which vote on Wanderer's do you want to discuss? I believe the one he cast for me is RVS. The one he cast for you is suspect because I do not believe you were role fishing. In some situations, discussing the enabled power might actually be beneficial to the gamestate.

However, asking others what their power is, can either be considered trying to get discussion going or role fishing. I can see it going either way.
