Obviously TTH needs to finish off the claim cycle. I have some thoughts on the set-up and who I think is scum but I want the full claim cycle complete before I begin.

So now that we have all the claims in and confirmed I’ll lay out my thoughts.

Lilith’s flip is very instructive, to my mind, as to what way SirCakez went on this Earth. Note the proliferation of limited shot roles. The only full roles we know of are Body Double (which Xk confirmed in 1265) which only gets used successfully once and Neopolitan.

Neapolitan is a very weak information role. It serves two purposes – to Town confirm VTs and bust fake-VT claims. It can’t distinguish between Town PRs and Mafia roles (no matter if they have a power or are Goons). For this reason in a 9 person game I highly doubt we have 3 VT roles that could be confirmed Town. That leads to me to think one of Java or Clumsy is scum.

I had suspicion of Telltale’s claim pre-Ranger flip but Ranger flipping Town, the mass-claim and lilith’s flip put those to rest. The only way I could have seen the shot on Kuroi being from fake-claiming scum is if Ranger and Telltale were aligned and cooked up the claim overnight. With Ranger being confirmed Town that is out the window.

I used my commute Night 2. I can’t be absolutely certain I dodged the Mafia kill but the facts fit – no way Kuroi was double-tapped and no other protective roles left in the game. This is also why I was staunchly against mass-claim – doing so eliminated the potential uncertainty in Mafia’s mind as to who thwarted their kill.

Snarky is my vote for today – I think he’s actually a Supervillan Jack of All Trades with Gladiator as one of the abilities. I want more time to decide who between Clumsy and Java is the Mafia fake-claiming VT. I’m leaning towards Clumsy based on his play around the Ranger lynch versus the Earth 1 mislynch on me.

Sell me of Java / Clumsy as a scum team. I’d especially like you to address 1312 where Java basically locks himself into voting who you think is his claimed partner over you given that we already had a Ranger VT flip.
