Rules

All rules listed in the Boilerplate Game Rules (rev. April 23, 2014) page apply to this game except where contradicted in the additional rules below:

1. Days will have a deadline of two weeks, and Nights will last 24 hours where applicable. Deadline extensions will be granted only in extenuating circumstances.
2. Lynches occur through simple majority (50% of living players + 1, rounded down). If no majority is reached at deadline, the player with the most votes will be lynched. In the event of a tie, the player who reached majority first will be lynched. Once majority is reached, no further votes or unvotes will count. Votes for No Lynch will not be counted.
3. Dead players and spectators may not post until the game has been officially declared over. No "Bah!" posts.
4. Prods will not be issued automatically. Any player may request a prod at any time. Players who have not posted during the Day phase or who have not responded to their Night prods will be replaced. You made a commitment when signing up for this game. Please be responsible with it.
5. Actions not received by deadline will be counted as "No Action." Actions may be submitted ahead of time and can be changed as many times as desired. At deadline, the last valid action that was submitted will be used. Actions may be submitted via PM or private topic.
6. Votes placed by accounts not present in the game will not be counted. Vote tricks will not be tolerated, and any judgment passed over the validity of any ambiguous votes is final.
7. New for this game:
   Vote counts will be posted twice daily at 1200 and 2400 EDT (UTC-4). This will not be an ideal game with which to play drinking games.

9. Flavor is for entertainment purposes only and has no significance in the game.
10. Any situations not covered above will be handled on an individual basis. I reserve the right to add, modify, or remove rules as necessary.

Setup

The five-player Vengeful Mafia open setup consists of two mafiosi, three townies, and the following mechanics:

• Day talk is enabled for this game.
• If the mafia godfather is lynched at any point, the town immediately wins the game. However, if the mafia godfather is killed by a vengeance kill, the game continues.
• If a town vanilla is lynched on Day 1, the lynched townie has one 1-shot kill to be used immediately.

This game seems rather scumsided. There's a 60% chance of a Mafia win. It's strange that Equinox used this version rather than the updated Vengeful, which is perfectly balanced.

Is making an IIoA accusation Townish or scummy? I am counting you as making the accusation as The Jester implied that it was null whereas you seemed to imply that it was scummy.

I strongly suspect that there is no actual truth behind IIoA and that someone accused of it is as likely as random to be Town or scum. But is it scummy to be making such a claim? There are certainly many people who believe it to be a genuine tell. However, scum may use it as an easy way to cast shade on someone or an excuse to scumread them.

Of course, all this is incredibly weak. What I am saying is possible but it is probably very unlikely. However, I do think that this will help in getting out of our effective RVS, in the absence of a real RVS.

In very early effective RVS, there's no serious conflict to analyse.

I can understand your point, but it would only apply when there is serious analysis to be done. In that case, pure IIoA seems very rare and even then I don't have the statistics. But it's mostly used against people who post both I and A.

In Surreptitious, I did pretty much only IIoA, only it turned out to be finding a breaking strategy for the Town win. Likewise, I posted mostly I (but some A) in Micro 729, in which I again found a breaking strategy.
