I dunno there's no benefit to being the hero in mafia. Being the hero in mafia gets you nightkilled N1 when you're town and feared and distrusted, and basically policy lynched whenever possible as either alignment unless you go to an insane amount of effort to maintain a meta out of game that teaches people that scumreading you is pointless regardless of your alignment. It also causes people to cheat to take you down for a grab at personal glory and makes you viscerally disliked by a significant subset of the older community who hates the idea that anyone with a join date that comes after them could possibly be worth caring about. At least back when I played league of legends being the hero came with a bunch of perks that made the game more fun, the better you get at mafia the less enjoyable it becomes.

That would require people to learn from their mistakes, but correctly reading lynchbait doesn't matter when people will continually to be oh so sure that the same people are scum time and time again.

I think I've ended "saftely" at second nightkill choice last couple of town games.

made me have to try to nail the game day 1 (IRL mafia) and make day 1s take 1.5 hours and then everyone was annoyed I made the game too slow

sorry to bump the thread but ive been recovering from getting my wisdom teeth removed and kind of left mafia to the side in favor of less strenuous things

how was i obvscum? i dont think anything i did beyond maybe buddying nsg a little too much or continuing to justify the raya lynch in lylo was scummy and even then theres reasonable town narratives for both

like i dont think i was unreasonable to think that UCV should have been voting raybells when he called him scummy, nor did i really get why me asking for reads was scummy
