General Rules

1. All site-wide rules apply. In particular:

5. Due to the nature of Mafia, conflicts are expected, but if I deem an argument too heated up I will intervene.
   
6. Please don’t double post unnecessarily. It is fine to correct an error you have made in your previous post, but if you’d be making multiple posts in succession you should merge them into one large post instead.
   
7. Do not quote or copy/paste from any private thread into any other thread (including the main thread). Please paraphrase instead. However, it is permitted to copy anything from the main thread into any private threads.
   
8. No set of rules can be complete. If you think something is wrong, please don't do it. Breaking the spirit of rules is also disallowed. Do not encourage others to break the rules either. If in doubt, please PM me.
   
9. Breaching of rules will usually result in a warning initially, but depending on severity, may result in a force-replacement or modkill.
   
10. During the course of the game I may add extra rules if necessary. These rule changes will be announced publicly.
    
11. Remember to have fun!

Deadlines, Activity, and replacements

1. Day start.
   
2. This is a blitz. Day 1 will last 4 days, Day 2 will last 3 days. Night 1 will last 2 days, but can be sped up if everyone agrees.
   
3. Prods will be issued if you do not post for 24 hours.
   
4. If you get three or more prods, or fail to respond to a prod by posting in thread within 24 hours (or by PM if at Night), I will begin seeking for a replacement.
   
5. You shouldn't be on V/LA if you signed up for this game. If you need to be on a V/LA for more than 48 hours, I strongly suggest that you request replacement.
   
6. If a replacement happens at Night, deadline will be paused until a replacement is found.

Voting Rules

1. To vote, use vote tags (VOTE: BulletNLynchproof). Bold tags (
   Vote: BulletNLynchproof
   ) are highly discouraged but allowed.
   
2. No Lynch may be voted for with VOTE: No Lynch
   
3. Abbreviations or misspellings in votes will be accepted as long as it is clear who you are voting for.
   
4. Nicknames in votes will be accepted only if they fall into the above categories. Otherwise, nicknames based on other sources such as (but not limited to) avatars, titles, replacements and other accounts will not be accepted.
   
5. Unvote with UNVOTE: BulletNLynchproof, or less preferably,
   Unvote: BulletNLynchproof
   (the player name is optional in this case)
   
6. A strict majority (more than half) of players is required to achieve a lynch.
   
7. Once majority is achieved, the lynch is final, and the Day will end immediately with further votes and unvotes being invalid.
   
8. If a lynch is not achieved by deadline on Day 1, there will be a No Lynch.
   
9. If a lynch is not achieved by deadline on Day 2, that branch will be declared an Alien win.
   
10. The Aliens can talk on Day 1 and Night 1, but not Day 2

Setup-specific Rules

1. This is an open setup: There are 7 Townies and 2 Alien Day 1 Lover Abductors
   
2. The main thread will be referred to as “Earth”
   
3. If an Alien is lynched Day 1, town win.
   
4. Otherwise, on Night 1, each Alien must abduct two townies: One must abduct two townies into Mars, and the other must abduct two other townies into Jupiter
   
5. Players not abducted, including the lynched player, are stranded on Earth, and will be confirmed as Town
   
6. On Day 2, the game will branch into two separate LyLo games, one in Mars, and the other in Jupiter. Both will consist of an Alien and the two townies they have abducted.
   
7. Mars and Jupiter will have their own PTs in which the game will be carried out
   
8. Players on Earth may continue to post, but will not be able to see anything happening in Mars or Jupiter
   
9. Each player can post only in the planet they are in
   
10. In Mars and Jupiter, the alignments of every player in the other planet will be revealed
    
11. This game will have two endings, depending on the outcome of each subgame

Win Condition

1. Play to win every game you are able to influence directly
   
2. You may claim a win that you did not directly contribute to (e.g. being in a planet your faction lost when your faction won the other subgame)
   
3. Town get a double win if they win on Day 1

Last Wednesday night, a UFO was sighted hovering over the Earth. It is suspected that aliens have descended onto the Earth. Based on forensic evidence, these aliens have the capability to wipe out masses of people at once, abducting them away. Furthermore, it was hard to trace them down as they looked exactly like humans. The town knew that they had to eliminate the aliens on Earth as soon as possible, or there will be massive chaos.
