The history of racism in law enforcement speaks for itself. The fact that we not only include this terminology in our game format (as one of the most prominent "power" roles, no less) is bad enough, but to add insult to injury, Cops are near-universally placed on the town (read: "Good") side? What kind of message does that send?

Enter this doesn't even affect mods.
It affects the players more because as players, its very likely to still use the word "lynch" due to the fact that we've been using it for years and we type it in the scenarios that its appropriate w/o even thinking about it.

i believe this actually affects mods more so than players.
as far as im aware unless someone wants to point out my ignorance.

this rule change is specifically about how mods run games call it when a player dies. Players can still refer to it as lynch...aat least for now?
with gradual pressure to not do that.

I understand if people don't want to moderate games with the new rules. We all decide on what is the best use of our time, and if the word "lynch" is integral to your enjoyment running it as a mod, then you are welcome to find other sites that use the word.

why does anyone give a fuck about this? How does it affect your life so severely to use one word instead of another because some people prefer it that way? Why is being able to do something that literally makes zero difference to you more important that the comfort of people to whom that word /does/ mean something and who would prefer it not be used?

1) uspol is closed how are we supposed to argue about pointless stuff without it. We need to argue about this.
