Uh... yeah, I went overboard when doing ooc and mech tags.

The mech tag will change as soon as I can figure out how to make it do what I want without blowing up when it's in the first post of a topic.

Oh, and shortcuts may have changed for the added non-standard tags... sorry about that for those who use the shortcuts. I couldn't see a really good way to preserve them with the new structure.

Out of context. They were made for the RPG, but I'm sure they'll get use elsewhere.

MECH will eventually be compressed into a smaller box with a scroll bar and an expand/contract button.

Yes, I realize this should have gone in the Test Posts thread, but it felt relevant enough here.

Uh, some of these seem a bit unnecessary...

Acknowledged... if people give feedback, I'll remove some (and I could even jsut remove the button and not the tag itself...). The first 9 are "fixed", s, table, wiki, dice, ooc, mech and area are likely to stay no matter what. I like area...

spoiler was requested often.

hr, sup and sub.. yeah, not sure they are needed.

reverse might be able to go away since I have spoiler, I was thinking it might be good for very moderate spoilers or answers to quizzes or whatever.

Having all the tags available isn't too big a deal. It's the presentation that's a bit jarring for me. Could they be organized in some way that's pleasing to the eye?

Hmm .. not really sure. Functional grouping would be good. Add some sort of separator between different types of tags (text formatting, block formations, etc.).

Maybe you could hide the lesser used tags, with a button to bring them up, if needed. There are a lot of tags that probably won't be used outside of mish-mash a lot, and some tags that I imagine only the game mods would get a lot of use out of.

I like the fact you can see clearly when I a spoiler is being used
like this
.

I think it would cause Mods too much of a headache, and make cheating too easy/tempting, if you could do "invisible" spoilers like on the GL.

I would like to see some sort of preface/alt tag on OOC that lets you know it's OOC and not just strangely-formatted text.

::edit::
Also, if
used <div> instead of <span>, I think it would become compatible with the list tag; see the Test Posts thread for an example.

jeep, the [hr] is almost invisible if used against the darker background in SubSilver.

Hell, for that matter it's almost invisible in mafSepia against the darker color.

Can it possibly be set for one of the other theme colors that has good contrast? table.forumline, perhaps? If it has to be hardcoded, I'd go with either black or white, or make it thicker.

Will any of these things cause problems in games?

I'm tempted to put in the rules of my games to not use spoiler tags, but I'm not sure.

I am using the mech tag for vote counts, as I thought it was doing what it was intended to do. should I stop -- ie, will the mech tag get "fixed" and my vote counts will break?

I'd like to see OOC use a different color than dark red when we move to phpBB3, please. It's confusing to me because a lot of mods use red/darkred to indicate who is under threat of a lynch in their Vote Counts.

Maybe purple?

I'll talk to the person setting up styles and such... see what he thinks. hmm... who is that again? ;)

I think we can make it depend on the style, too...

Bwah? More tags = more better. You don't see them if you use quick reply anyway.
