While the saying "time is money" is a popular one, it is not meant to be taken literally. Time isn't directly exchangable for cash or other valuable goods; the saying merely means that time is as valuable as money. Furthermore, due to the widely available nature of timekeeping pieces(including on the mobile devices or computers that the game mods would use to start games), having an extra watch would not cause them to be extra timely when modding their games.
There's nothing that says that a fake can't beat the real thing.
You must not imagine that for beings like you and us there can be laughter. The low men laugh, and we envy them. But for us, the higher ones, there is no laughter, only an unending vigil, purely serious, stretching on into the night.
