In addition, I am going to attempt to empower the site chat mods to be more proactive. Expect warnings and temporary bans from site chat mods more quickly and on a broader set than you might expect on the site as a whole. I am asking them to err on the side of over-action for the time being.

site chat isn't enjoyable except when people are either maturely discussing a topic, and it isn't just "xd intercourse xd xd fecal matter"

It also is enjoyable when someone has witty jokes and not a recurring gimmick.

I forgot to cover that because the rest of my post wasn't related which is odd because that's what the entirety of the post is for, but regardless, there's no reason for you to be discussing mature topics in a public chat where most of the people who want to give advice or share their own stories have no advice to give.

So it makes perfect sense cuz of:

1) Not everyone wants to see/hear that stuff
2) NSFW warnings plus it's impossible to do that for site chat anyway
3) People want actual conversations on site chat unrelated to stuff generally in the speakeasy
4) The speakeasy is opt-in whereas GD and site chat aren't really. Okay, Site chat is optional, but you don't have to be in a special group to access it, so imo, it should be kept appropriate for GD stamdards.

I wonder how hard it'd be to make a Speakeasy chat that's only joinable through knowing the chat name via a pinned post in Speakeasy, therefore making the chat room essentially opt-in
