The Rules

• ONE: FUNDAMENTALS
  • All site-wide rules apply. Read and respect them.
    
  • There is no personal communication outside the forum postings (regarding this game) unless your role specifically allows it.
    
  • Do not quote your Role PM or any private communication (either real or fabricated) with the moderator, co-moderator, backup-moderator, or fellow players. Paraphrasing your Role PM is acceptable.
    
  • Be courteous and respectful to all your fellow players and the moderating team.
    
  • Play to your Win Condition.
• TWO: DAY PHASE
  • All groups with Private Topics (PTs) will be able to converse during any Day Phases.
    
  • Votes must be in the format of VOTE: PlayerName or
    Vote: PlayerName
    , or they shall not be counted. Abbreviating someone's name is acceptable, so long as I can discern who you were voting for without trouble. If I think it should count as a vote, it will.
    
  • Unvoting is not required, but is much appreciated.
    
  • Once you have reached a simple majority (half of all living players plus one) that person's fate is sealed and they shall be eliminated. Unvoting cannot change their fate.
    
  • Once a player is eliminated the game enters twilight until I arrive and post a death scene. All players may continue to post during Twilight.
    
  • Please post at least once every 48 hours. If you fail to do so, you will be prodded. If you fail to respond to said prod within 24 hours, you will be replaced.
    
  • If you get three or more prods, or fail to respond to a prod by posting in thread within 24 hours (or by PM if at Night), I will begin seeking for a replacement (this means the third prod functions like a notice that you are racing the search for your replacement.)
    
  • A deadline extension may or may not be granted; just ask.
    
  • If no player reaches a simple majority by deadline - no elimination is the result
    
  • Votes and Unvotes shall not count in Twilight.
• THREE: NIGHT PHASE
  • There is no night.
    
    
  • FOUR: CAPITAL OFFENSES
    • Do not quote your Role PM or any private communication (either real or fabricated) with the moderator, co-moderator, or backup-moderator. Paraphrasing your Role PM is acceptable.
      
    • Do not quote or screenshot from a PT into another PT or Main Thread unless
      all
      participants have access to the PT being quoted.
      
    • There is to be no personal communication outside the forum postings (regarding this game) unless your role specifically allows it.
      
    • The following is a list of outlawed shenanigans:
      • Using invisible text, codes, cryptography, etc.

You must find safety in numbers, but trusting the wrong people can have disastrous results.

Game Rules:

A player is designated as a

Captain

if they receive five votes. (Players may self-vote)

A captain must pick a team of five from the people voting for them(this includes themselves)

Captains have

24 hours to finalize their team picks after selection

Players that are already part of a team may no longer vote.

Four teams of players lined up in neat rows in their brand new colored track suits.

One person left out all alone.

A stunningly beautiful hostess in a cocktail dress walks out to greet him.

She is all giggles and smiles as she leads him away, her heels clicking and clacking.

A massive C-17 plane rolls out of the aircraft hangar and several guards bid you all onto the plane for the next "game".

As you step into the cargo bay you can distinctly hear the sound of a gunshot in the distance...

Two:

Not Enough Parachutes

Sitting on the cold metallic floor, you eye each other warily as you fly over the Pacific.

Or at least what you think is the Pacific, you were never very good at geography and it's not like there's windows on this plane.

The guards distribute cold ham and cheese sandwiches and a cheap knockoff version of Coca Cola; so much for the in-flight service being good.

After what seems like an eternity you are awaken by a voice over the intercom.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your Captain speaking, we are approaching our destination but unfortunately due to local building codes there is no runway large enough for us to land.

We will have to make a parachute jump to our final destination. Unfortunately due to budget cuts, there are not enough parachutes for everyone, we apologize for this incovenience.

We will be using the age-old distribution method of "Finders Keepers, Losers Weepers"

Game Rules:

Over the next 48 hours the moderator will at random drop "parachutes" into the thread.

The first player to quote the moderator parachute post will take the parachute for themselves with the command

If you already have a parachute, you may take the parachute for a teammate with the command

If your team has five parachutes, you may not grab another parachute.

Players who end the game without parachutes will get a free lesson in "falling with grace".

Resolution

As the last parachute is passed out, there is a mad scramble between the last three people as they fight for the lifeline.

The guards restrain the two unlucky contestants who are going to get the Buzz Lightyear Special Flying Lesson.

The rest of you are led away single file for the jump as the plane makes a final pass over The Island.

Your jump instructor explains that if you do not land on the building, there is a very real risk you will be eaten by the tigers that live in the jungle.

On the bright side your jumpsuits will make it easy for them to find you in case you don't become tiger food.

Lights Out

It's a miracle all of you managed to land on the building and avoid becoming tiger food.

So much of a miracle that the game organizers apparently didn't plan for it and now need to remove somebody.

Since they don't quite have the supplies to set up a new game due to budget cuts,

They've decided to let you have some good old fashioned mob justice in the dark.

Game Rules:

This game will last for 36 hours.

You may chat in your Team/Mafia PTs, the main thread will remain locked for this event.

You may send me a PM to "attack" a player.

The player who has been attacked the most over the night will die.

The symphony of violence builds up throughout the evening as punches and kicks land across the room.

As the guards take away Noraa's body, the video screen on the wall buzzes to life,

A totally sober Teddy Bear is very excited and there is definitely not a line of cocaine under his nose,

This is the good part, you won't believe what we have planned for you next!"

Rules:

Form two teams!

Captains may create an alliance between their teams by using

Once two captains trust each other, their teams will merge, the two other teams will also merge and we will move on to Event Four...

You have 48 hours for this phase. If you do not decide by then the Mafia will be given the opportunity to decide which teams merge.

No one will die immediately as a result of this choice.

Jingle: Isn't that just a spamathon?

Pooky: I know, it'll be glorious!

T-Bone: Mith is going to murder you for hosting a spamathon, you're already over your bandwidth allocation.

Pooky: It's the perfect mass casualty event though!

Jingle: I think you need to actually let them play mafia at some point if you're going to run this as a Mafia Game

Dance War !

The guards sheepishly take away the rope set, apparently some people do not want to play tug of war.

It's a real shame because Pooky was really looking forward to a Spamathon too...

Classical Music begins to play over the loudspeakers.

Looks like it's time to dance

Event Rules:

This phase will last for six days.

Players on Team _____ will be able to propose a dance to Players on Team _____.

Players may accept dance proposals to them.

Paired players may no longer propose or accept proposals, they will be set up with a PT after all pairs are made.

The Player left out of the dance will perish.

If there are multiple unpaired players at the end of the timer - the Mafia will be asked to pair them in any legal fashion(one from each team).

After all pairings are done, we will begin a traditional dance - (players may vote to eliminate a pair and players may also leave their dance partner).

This dance may or may not end the game depending on if the Mafia achieve Parity.

Trust Fall

There's a certain sense of dread as you approach the final room,

What crazy wild shit is Pooky going to come up with for the final game?

Machine guns? Rocket Launchers? Penguins with Machine Guns? Cows with Rocket Launchers?

Hopefully Jingle kept him from doing anything too fucking crazy.

A very excited bear bounces up and down as he greets you at the final room.

"Well this is the end! Get pumped up because this is for all the marbles! Haha"

The Game will end after a pair of players trusts each other - if this pair is T-T, the game will end in a town win. If this pair is S-T, the game will end in a scum win.
