Aw :( ok any suggestions? I'm going to play naturally, which is pretty active and aggressive. If you look scummy I'm going to call you out. Anyone know any weaknesses of Comm or other players?

Awoo is pretty on to it, they'll like us being proactive. We also have 2 newbies who will be easy to pocket or defend for town cred when town lynches them for being derpy.

Bummer. I suck at Scum. I'll try to play in a way that doesn't tie anyone to me.

Comm is highly aggressive once the game moves beyond the first few days. In times past he tends to either annoy people, or play in a way that gets him scum-read which can benefit scum. Regardless, he can be a nuisance for scum as well due to his ego and passion for the game. Once he bites, it's hard to move him.

You know it's kinda sad. I actually only joined this game to see Quick's (LQ's) Town-play that he amped up in our former game. Alass, we are now scum partners. At least it'll be fun to see how it goes between me and Comm once again as Scum vs. Town.

I'm not suggesting we bus D1, and honestly bussing is more effective when it's organic rather than planned here. I'm likely to push a lot of people and change my mind a lot. Awoo will see that as my town game. If I do decide to bus which is very unlikely D1, I will say x is scum, doubt = 0, which I say as town when I'm confident in a scum read. Also feel free to bus me if you think it'll increase our chances of winning. I just don't want us to make the mistake of not reading each other or giving weak reads/reasons on each other.

If Comm has a big ego, it'll be good for one I f us to subtly buddy him by paying attention to and giving credit to his reads.

My Town game is good, but only because people don't understand me enough to the point where stuff gets discussed that normally wouldn't

I guess the only thing we need to really worry about is the mason recruit that acts as an Investigation. We'll have to play that thin line of not being scum-read, but not being #1 or 2 town-read either. I'd assume the original 2 masons will likely ignore each other as much as possible. In some odd ball world I can see them slightly distancing, but
eh
.

If we are not able to reduce the 3 or 2 masons, they'll become a problem for the late game. Other than that, I have little else to say for strategy beyond words of encouragement. Let's have a good ol' time, and try our best! :)

I didn't see the mason recruit action in the example role PM. I did think that would be an obstacle.

Yeah thought so. I'm thinking chances of them recruiting N1 is like 90%?

So, it depends if they use it as an investigative tool or an add conf. town tool. If we hover in the null region we might be too much of a good candidate for recruitment as it will clear us either way...at least if I was mason I'd target active unknowns more than obv. leans. Our chances of winning improve dramatically if we can NK 1 mason so I'm keeping my eyes peeled.

What happens if we get attempted recruited? They just get a guilty on one of us then?

Either that, or nobody will be added to their team the following night?

From the wiki:

During one night during the game, the mason team may attempt to recruit another member. If you attempt to recruit town, they will be added to the masonry as "Recruited Mason". If you attempt to recruit mafia, the attempt will fail.

I think what we're wondering though is do they immediately know that it will fail/work, or do they have to wait till the following night to know the result. If memory serves me right, it's immediate.

Ok just had a look at Comm in his 698 stack the deck game. His reads weren't very good, but he is observant and logical in his process. He liked people picking up on reads with reason. I think a naked vote is a going to bring unwanted attention from him. Hopefully he'll be one of the easier townies to dodge by just playing a genuine-ish town game.

Assemblerotws was in the same game as town. He didn't strike me as particularly aggressive and he seemed to coast along on town's reads. He picks obv. scum as scum, doesn't really build cases but will nail you with a wall of quotes if you contridict yourself. I think pushing him as a mislynch is almost too easy and will look scum motivated. He's not inclined to take a town lead role and will inevitably be scum read for coasting.

Jamie, Thomas and Vadim are all brand new to MS. We can decide on who to leave when we get a feel for their competency.
