Scumhunting based only on the playerlist (remember me to convince someone to make a game about scum hunting without saying anything), I think that the scum team might be a SE/IC + a newbie.

So maybe let's see, maybe brass and Akagami Shanks?

yeah I can agree with this; I know people who end up in their first newbie game with certain very strong players seem more likely to stick around? maybe hoping to get more of that glory or one day achieve it themselves. like i'd be a pretty different duck if i hadn't encountered the towngames of mathdino & radiantcowbells in my first two newbie games plus skitter30 & northsidegal in my first non-newbie.

i just feel bad that we had such a broad flake at once. i'm really glad Angel decided to stick around.

brass is gonna be an awesome IC. his kind of positivity and inclusive attitude is really healthy for newbie games/ms in general imo

I know it's a sin since I'm supposed to know about anime but I don't really know much about shounen animes (One Piece's genre).

Brass is gonna be a good IC yes, my first newbie game had him as an SE actually. I tunneled him though, and had no idea of what I was doing...

I think about me being a new player, in hindsight I guess not. I played/read enough games already I imagine.

Let's see how Angel plays here being the only first-timer. It's a somewhat intimidating playerlist, but not too much of a intimidating playerlist?

About Brass I find particularly charming this "classy-casual-spontaneous-trolly" style that I feel he has nowadays.

I've seen him doing serious post and still being a bit trolly at the same time recently. Although I remember him being a bit different back then.

Also, If I got who Thomas is right, he is too experienced for me to read him only based on that, even more if he comes fron MU where I've seen some pretty...huh...

It's kind of hard to read some newbies that way, because they might not understand exactly how the game works in the first place and end up doing stuff that isn't what it seems to be. But maybe you're right here I guess.

Volxen. Im wondering how fast is your typing speed. It felt weird that transition from lynching the mod to starting a random vote. And it all happened in seven minutes. Why didnt you include both in same message or was that an afterthought. Or did you do that to seperate the joke from the real part. Still I find it a little fishy that that happened in seven minutes.

I would be impressed if this one is scum if his partner isn't volxen. Not exactly leaning town, but he seems perceptive, even more if he fabricated that town mindset as mafia.

Scumhunting: Trying to figure out who the scum are through questions and reasoning.
Townhunting: Trying to figure out who the town are through questions and reasoning.
Wagoning: Voting on someone who someone else has voted on to get closer to a lynch.
Counterwagoning: Starting a new wagon different than one that's already formed.
Tunneling: Focusing on just one person to lynch and not looking at other potential scum.
Walling: Posting a very large posts with different quotes to show your logic someone is scum.

Scum tactics:
WIFOM: Wine in front of me. Asking the "what would scum do in this situation" question when scum may be dileberatly trying to avoid looking like scum.
OMGUS: Voting for someone for retalitory reasons only.
Bussing/Distancing: Attacking your scumbuddy to look town.
Whiteknighting: Praising town players to look town yourself.

There's lots of other strategies but those are some basics.

I wish it was quite this easy to catch teh scumz and a lot of things on this town list are things like most scum will do to be townread.

sometimes I guess it helps to remember that scum's job is to look like town. town's job is to nuke scum at all costs.

You know, I used to do this cute thing about nulltown, town lean and town but I want to get lazier...

I think xwing is town and that's it. All the others are in shaky null reads, I particularly think this playerlist is too competent to a good early read list on them.

xwing feels so spontaneous though, if he is ever scum here I suppose I would have no idea how to read him ever.

(also, I took a bit to answer this waiting to get more reads instead of just xwing but I realized already that...that's not happening so soon here).

as a side note, heartstone feels game-solvey but that last post of "let's wagon IC = let's lynch IC" was so reachy that I raised an eyebrow while reading.

I would say Volxen and Yellow are the worst looking ones right now but it's mostly for silly stuff really, not worth a scum read yet.
