The light fades from the sky as the battle draws to a close. You are skirting the edges of life now, fighting even as you feel the encroaching Dark Forest invite you to its embrace. Your battle is over now — you have given your all for Aurelia. Was it enough? You catch a flickering bit of movement from the corner of your misting eyes. There are survivors. Aurelia will rebuild. It may fall. The sun dips below the horizon, marking the end of a bloodstained day. A light smile touches your face as you watch the last dregs of light fade from the sky, the clouds shifting even as you lose consciousness and your eyelids flutter closed. The sun sets.
