Okay, both Shakira and Turtwig hadn't been cut because they actually had character. Gameplay wasn't great which is why the went out early, but as entertainment and character they were great in their own rights which is why they were still around. Shakira was a huge fucking mess and sent some of the weirdest PMs on the entire planet after not speaking to people for days at a time. There was one exchange where she hadn't spoken to me in 3 days and her first PM to me was asking me how I felt about anime involving lesbian necrophilia. And then Turtwig was absolutely adorable and sweet but he tried to pull a huge move in his first TC or something and that's why he went out, because he decided not to just let the early TC be boring. He had a whole lot of really ridiculous ideas of things he wanted to pull, which never were going to work and were definitely going to get him voted out. Which you would know, had you read or talked to other people before just cutting based on placement and past memory. As I've said a few places, I'm having computer problems and it's taking a lot longer to get it fixed than I had thought it would. I've had to use my backup computer and tablet so MS barely functions. Please don't just go back to not saying shit about people left just because you want to get things done, the people left all have character arcs and things to write about and talk about. Can we please still do that?

like if the other cutters were cutting regularly and being thoughtful then i came in and was like "ayyy here's one sentence" i'd get it

but i have pinged the rankdown chat almost every other day since ive joined the rankdown and youve responded once, and that's it, not much else

if people want to start doing this for real again then let's do it for real but that means actually making cuts

i also saw no evidence of anyone in that chat discussing cuts when i looked thru the history so... didnt know we were supposed to be running this by each other.

264. Machamp (TheBadOne, Seafoam Islands)

While TBO has certainly done some good things, he did not stand out at all in Seafoam Islands. There was a controversy surrounding his elimination in that an idol was played, his name came up once in a 1-1 tie, a player self voted on the revote to make it a tie, and he was eliminated since the third post-revote tiebreaker sent home the player with the most votes against (after taking out players that self-voted regardless of whether or not they were in the tie, but that's a story for another day). Had this been the world of ROCKS ROCKS ROCKS that MafiaScum now is, this bizarre elimination would not have happened.

There are players here that were already cut that actually stood out for what they did. Machamp only stands out for what happened to him that was completely out of his control. He obviously did something right, because he's TBO and knows how to do that plus he made it to 9th place, but that's not good enough anymore.

As a spec I was well aware of Shakira's nonsense through other people's confessionals and found it quite amusing! Looking at who's left in that game though, I'd probably cut Y and HTTP first and that's it? Everything's subjective and HTTP was a specie darling so I'm sure people'd disagree with me, Shakira had her 15 minutes at least. (I'd also have kept The Hindenburg because loool) I think pm's count if other players are panicing about them for the specs enjoyments. I mean, isn't your actions causing other players to have breakdowns the height of entertainment?

I don't know exactly how this would work, but if we could somehow just rank each game individually, and then have cuts only be from the bottom of one of the lists, it seems like it would be a lot easier.

At the very least, ranking people in the same game should be a lot easier than ranking across all of them, and it could specifically be done by people who already know about the games or at least want to read them thoroughly, as opposed to forcing people who don't really understand the intricacies of the game to judge them.

again, if any of the people dont want to put in the legwork right now into ranking, I can take on someone's spot. Even temporarily, if youre just busy right now with life, you can have it back at final 100 or whatever so you get the joy of handling the juiciest part of the rankdown, considering most of you already put so much work into this. But I'd be willing to help get us there faster, read all the games, and provide substantive content so ya lmk
