263. Aragorn(Pizzadudes7) - Middle Earth

Image

I hope to see everyone on the other side, and I am not playing my ring. I am tempted to, but I think I would rather walk out with an idol (again) than play it when I don't need to.

Most people who have played with Pizza before know that he can be a rather volatile and emotional player, prone to being exceptionally ragey and likely to let that get the better of him during a game. Aragorn was not that at all. He was a fairly decent and solid player. A bit boring tbh. He doesn't have a particularly interesting character or gameplay arc, but he's lasted this long because he didn't particularly do anything bad. He found the idol of the game even. But went home with it in his pocket at the first merge TC. You would think that since he was a part of the blue tribe and a good portion of them all lived to merge, he would have gotten farther, but he wasn't particularly liked by anybody who was still alive in merge. He let those people get voted out on him. In the Gold tribe he swaps over with Shadowfax who he thought he had an alliance with, but that was not really the case. Shadow was willing to target him and he could have gone home that first Gold TC. He ended up in between the greens and the reds who largely were sticking together because that's what early survivors were like. He was the swing deciding vote, and thought he was setting himself up to be in a good place come merge, but he was wrong. The leftover Golds were not in a good place and he got blindsided by his former original tribe. He could have changed what happened with the Gold tribe TCs because they were that close, but he didn't and it ultimately led to the end of his game because he let other people decide what happened instead of making sure what happened benefitted him. It's just a fairly typical siding with the wrong alliance story.

262. Red Arrow (Drench) - Arkham City]

Image

HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO BE GAY WHEN I CAN'T EVEN TALK ABOUT TAJINDERES

This is the summation of Red Arrow. Drench is always entertaining as hell, but he had very little impact on the gameplay here. His confessional is essentially just a lot of memes, word filters, and gayness without much game talk. He was on the verge of being eliminated when his tribe went to TC, but there was luckily always one more person who could keep him alive because they were just slightly worse off. But as his tribe kept losing and he kept failing to connect, the easier targets were picked off or quit, leaving Red to eventually just fall unceremoniously to the more active and social players on his tribe. While Drench is always entertaining, this character was decidedly not.

Rip all the Arkham characters. The main ones I know anything about to comment on.

I have to disagree here. On Courthouse, Red Arrow was very well liked and I had a three way alliance with James Gordon and Arrow. Because of the split after Courthouse, Arrow found himself on a tough tribe and maybe got a little less active. I don't remember exactly because we got split up.

Either way I was definitely entertained. It may not have been Drench's most entertaining game but I really liked Arrow.

In death row, he was in the main alliance but when it was just the alliance left he was caught making final 2 deals with everyone I think.

261. Miranda Lawson (Drench, Mass Effect)

Image

Keeping with the Drench cuts, I guess. Miranda never really stood out in Mass Effect, and I really don't see much reason to keep her in. The confessional is nearly nonexistent considering Miranda was alive for over a month, and in terms of game impact there really isn't much: her closest ally was booted immediately after her, then the rest of her tribe was promptly taken out at merge - nobody on her second tribe survived to the Final 8. She didn't seem to be a particularly bad character, but at the same time she wasn't a particularly good one. There's not a ton to say here.

A few words on Turtwig:

Turtwig formed an alliance with Finneon/Snorunt the first round, then came to the others on his tribe round 2 to try and vote Finneon off.

Turtwig briefly thought about voting himself TC 1 and blaming Finneon to help him in his plan to get rid of Finneon.

Both of the first two challenges had options where a person could go for either a prize or a mystery unknown effect and both times he went for it regardless of how the tribe felt.

Turtwig was a decent conversationalist, and was goofy in a fun way:
Turtwig wrote:Ok, let's discuss our feelings, guys. How do you feel, twig?

Twig says he feels kinda scared.
Turtle says he feels excited and theres nothing to be scared of because we can hide in shell.

oh ok. thank you for sharing feelings. now don't talk like that ever again.

Twig says ok
Turtle says ok
I think you would have been interesting in Eon had you made it farther, and hope you come back someday, Extrapolated Eagle.

I tend to agree than Red Arrow was much better at the start, imo I thing he basically did the opposite of Rex (besides Rex overplaying) of where he sat with people.
I beleive I enjoyed him in the cell block, but not so much with the brief interactions in death row.

I don't think he was less active tbh, Numbers wanted Arms to stay and we thought Jack would stay loyal to us over Red Arrow.
