steins;gate elite is a remake of the original so you probably don't
have
to play both but I guess you could play the original then the remake to go back and catch all the foreshadowing etc
figured that could be relevant info
and also that 'Linear Bounded Phenogram' (spinoff) should be played after S;G
and then Steins;Gate 0 is a full-on sequel (so, third) and definitely avoid that unless you complete the prior game
so yeah
all that said I've only seen the anime (meant to play or watch S;G Zero) but it's
amazing
(aside from one issue I have with a certain character's handling but maybe it's better in the VN). feel free to take this as a suggestion to start with Steins;Gate or S;G Elite, your call, and then go from there if you stick with it
probably just start with Elite tbh as the beginning of Steins;Gate can be slooooow. better chance for becoming interested, I'd think, unless they massively hecked something up in the remake.
