Also I massively burnt myself out.

Also Pokemon Amie and the battle trainer feel really extraneous. I feel like they shoulda just kept it as a normal Pokemon game except for the visuals (which are pretty fantastic).

My final criticism for now is that there are simply too wide a variety of Pokemon to catch at the beginning of the game and it makes things easy and less fun. I really enjoyed struggling along with my starter, a Pidgey, and then spending half an hour getting a decent but rare 'mon by scrambling around in the tall grass, but here you can get the elemental monkeys, Pikachu and a bunch of other really useful critters super super early.

I tried to breed a Skitty with Nuzzle ('cause omg) but it wouldn't, so I'm assuming either Skitty levels up to get Nuzzle or it's a TM (which seems likely, it's the right kind of TM for an Electric Gym Leader to give.)

with my four cutesies torchic, skitty, skiddo and pikachu, and daddies farfetch'd and greninja

they're waaaaaaaaaay overleveled because that's just what happens when you like looking around and catching critters in a pokemon game

so this won't be much of a challenge probably

i've always felt skitty to be superior to delcatty because skitty's much cuter and stats aren't much worse, but a shiny delcatty looks pretty sweet as well
