This is the type of thing that I would totally join in with. Usually I hate multiplayer minecraft servers because there's already a ton of stuff done and I don't feel like I have anything to do.

Is there a way to trash items? Sometimes my inventory fills and I just want to throw something away, but don't know how.

You could sell them. If you have NPCs. Otherwise just use chests.

I'm talking about while I'm mining.

Just take them from your inventory and drop them outside of the boxes.

Killed the Eye(twice) and Eater of Worlds and made a lightsaber with a friend on our MP server. We're going to have to fight Eater again after another broken Shadow Orb. Not looking forward to that fight underground.

a better strategy is to make a battle platform a good distance from the ground. That way he'll lose maneuverability, and you'll see him coming

Eye of Cthulu spawns at random after destroying your first shadow orb or by using the suspicious lens you get by crafting

I don't think it has anything to do with shadow orbs. I think it's if you have at least 200 HP. I had it spawn on me in my single player and haven't broken a shadow orb.

I can't kill the Eye in my single player game. I've tried 3 or 4 times and just die too easily, even with a full set of silver armor and a gold broadsword + enchanted boomerang

And now I get the Eye down to 1600 HP pretty quickly, and a second one spawns, causing me to die pretty quickly. Stupid single-player.

Oh, I have a couple MP servers I play on already. I was doing some SP because the people I play with weren't around.

also LOTS AND LOTS of health pots. h key is your friend.

potion sickness hurts that strategy.

Anyway, beat the Eye, and then beat the Eater of Worlds and King Slime.

Potion sickness doesn't last that long. If you take 200 damage before potion sickness wears off you need to work on your dodging

I mean, I know I had a poor area for fighting the eye since it always just hopped in on me at a random point during the night, but it's not that easy to dodge.

It is interesting. I just hope that the devs wont become money grubbing jerks and abandon their game before it ever comes close to reaching it's full potential like with Terraria. <_<

$10 game where you can do a lot. It's a bit annoying, but calling them "money grubbing jerks" is probably a bit harsh with how well done what they have is. They need to make a living too.

So I have a house, and a furnace, and an anvil, and I just made myself a gold sword which against all reason is better than an iron sword. I've run out of inventory slots and realized I don't know what 3/4 of the things that I have can do.

- Is there a way of getting a description of a potentially-craftable item in the game, or should I just use the wiki?
- What do I do now? Explore the caves or go far to the left where stronger monsters live?

The wiki for an actual description of what it does. I prefer just making things that look/sound cool and seeing what happens.

If you're decked out in gold, I'd say explore where the stronger monsters live. Or, if you have a good cave system, explore that a bit.

ifu talk to the guide you can show him an item and be given a list of everything craftable from it and their descriptions and necessary components. make him live w. all your crafting tools 4 an ez life : ]

O RLY? I saw him when the game started, but by the time I had figured out moving, he had fallen to the bottom of a deep watery chasm, where he's been content to live for the past few days. Don't think he can get out.

I know that I can drain the chasm by digging under it and letting the water fall elsewhere, but that's *work*. Is there an easier way to get him to come to my house?

Usually if you go far enough offscreen overnight, he'll teleport back to his room if you have one set up for him.

Also, I believe the guide tells you what crafting station you need for an item when you look at craftable items at him.
