I found it annoying as all hell. But strangely redeemable.

The grass starter is absolutely cute as fuck, it's gonna be Chespin I start off with despite how awful Grass is as a type.

Playing AA. I gotta say, I'm not fond of some aspects of the new aesthetic. And I don't think first cases were this lame in the previous games. Hopefully it gets better.

AJ first case was fantastic yeah.

This one just seemed too exposition heavy and a bit boring character/crime wise.

The second case is shaping up nicely though.

Finished Ace Attorney 5-3. Was also disappointed at the end. I don't like how they casually slip in fairly important details instead of letting us find them out during the investigation, feels cheap.

Hopefully 5-4 is better. I know, I've said that twice now. This one has a much more interesting premise, though.

You gotta admit the bad guy had a glorious breakdown, though.
Fair enough. You just reminded me of the protagonist's considerably less glorious and much more cliche breakdown moments prior. That's another strike against that case... it ended up being a bit too saccharine, I think. ):

Also I miss the Feys. D:

Also I'm getting a bit tired of all the lawyerly superpowers. 'Analytical psychology' (Athena's power, that is, not Jung's school of psychology)... c'mon.

I know I'm definitely making it out to be worse than I'm actually finding it. It's leagues ahead of Investigations (remember that game?) but it's fairly middling so far, like they assembled 1-1, 4-2, and 2-3 into the same game.

Also there's been some weird stuff going on in these trials about burden of proof.

The game isn't that bad! But it doesn't even approach the awesome that was the third game, and like I said above there are some distracting logical inaccuracies and silly writing.

Finished the fourth case. Wish the whole
number on the floor
thing hadn't been pointed out to us, because that would've been an awesome gotcha moment which would've been really fun to spot and required a lot of observation skills so.

Otherwise I guess it was decent.
