I'm fine with Officers... and if their head raid leader is actually as good as they say, then I have no problem with him taking over the raid slot. One of you two can move up to co-raid leader or something. As far as the site goes, we have the domain name through tans, and I'm pretty sure we have some webspace too. But I don't wanna take away the site from someone who actually wants to work on it.
From our talks with their GM, I expect that he'll be okay with it, but his members will be hesitant and demand some stuff. I don't wanna go through with this if EVERYONE isn't 100% okay with it.
(And yes, I'm back. Boredom finally got the best of me tonight.)

@JD: Kai was confused - they don't have a domain name, we do.
They seem to be mostly focused on raiding, yes, but the talk of arena teams came up, and I'm sure we could nab people for heroics too.
In order for this merge to go successfully, we would have to give them some kind of say in the guild. If that meant me stepping down from Officer in order to give a council position to one of their people, I'd do it.
Of course I'm not sold on this either. We'll need to wait and hear back with what they say, first, which is what I said to the other GM and Kairyuu tonight.

The problems lie in those of us (me included, though I'd stop if it actually looked like anything was going to happen) who randomly disappear, but say that they're interested in raiding. Also lack of any real progress on recruiting.
So, short answer is maybe. Longer answer is eventually, but only if the people who have expressed interest actually make an effort to get themselves ready and help recruit for the spots we're still missing.
@all: If you are actually serious about wanting to raid as a guild sometime in the NEAR future (aka 2-4 weeks from now AT MOST) then say so in thread please. If we don't have the manpower for it, I say we just put this on the back burner indefinitely until we actually have the size/interest. I also may very well join a raiding guild on Kai in the mean time, but if/when Modus is actually prepared to raid I'll be back for sure.
Out of curiosity, who is randomly disappearing at the moment for the most part? I know me + BBM have been on a lot (I tend to disappear for a day or two when I get swamped with other projects, but I'm usually on at least once a day if not to get inscrip research on my mage), but come to think of it that's pretty much the only person I see on.
I feel that the likelihood of us getting together enough people for actual raiding funtimeses is highly unlikely at this juncture, and we should consider (as a group) abandoning ship. After thinking this over last night, I feel that we need to make a decision as to whether we shut down and move as a group or split up and do our own thing. I don't feel continuing on where we are is a tenable decision at this point in time, as we're very much the rudderless ship at the moment.
If we do move as a group, I don't really care where we go as long as they don't have some sort of minimum raid requirement - I'm never entirely sure of my schedule from week-to-week due to my keeping odd hours most of the time while working on various projects. I don't think I'd be able to commit to a full-on raiding schedule.
Right now I'm absolutely swamped with working 40hrs a week + having to take care of daily household duties + trying to nail down a new place to live. The earliest I could return to WoW would be in late August after the hours at my job have died down and I'm all moved in to my new place.
If you guys decide to close up shop on Modus Operandi, I would only ask that you guys pitch it as a merger so that some of the officers can still get high ranking positions in the new guild. Not for me -- when I come back it'll probably be in a limited capacity. But I'd also like the guild you guys find to be social/relaxed. Raiding group is fine, but not a hardcore raiding guild, etc.

Well, there's also the issue that if there's another guild about our size or perhaps a bit bigger, gaining that many level 85s in exchange for a bit of administrative power is a good deal for them.

Isn't that only to level 20? Aside from the first time around, absolutely nothing interesting happens up to level 20 except for the really, really awful early instances.
That being said, if you do you should start a character on Lightning's Blade (Horde). I'd be more than happy to run the really, really awful early instances with you.

Brock recently created a free account just to fuck around with some toons to level 20... I'm resisting the urge to do it due to LoL taking up the vast majority of my time, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to have something else to play until The Old Republic comes out Dec. 20th........

I want people to come back. If you let me/Grimm send you a scroll of resurrection, you get 7 free days + a free level 80 character + a free transfer to our server
I got the game Friday evening, made a level 80 Mage, and I am up to 88 now. The zones are really well done, and the storyline actually interests me more than the Deathwing/Twilight shit in Cataclysm. Probably because it is original content and not steeped in convoluted history and lore. You actually feel like you're discovering a new world. Pandaren are still a dumb race, but the zones are cool. And the instances I've run so far are pretty good.
New daily quests system is superb, too. Makes grinding reputation feel like less of a grind.

Yeah they're easy as hell compared to Cata heroics.
NOW comes the grind, since the only way to hit 470 to unlock all LFRs is to use JP to upgrade gear. Luckily I've already upgraded two things and my tailor friend made me some epic 476 gear so I'm only 3 points away

It's pretty good. It's a bit campy, and the Pandaren are honestly a stupid race (I mean, there are tons of possible other races to bring in that actually exist in Warcraft lore), but it feels fresh and new because it's all new lore and new content. I quit Cataclysm pretty soon after hitting 85 because it got boring, but I feel like Pandaria actually has a lot of shit for you to do to keep you occupied. A friend of mine has just been doing nothing but playing around with the Pokemon-esque pet battling system, and he can't stop.
ALSOOO for anyone who WANTS to play again, there's a few of me/my RL friends that have a guild on Turalyon. It's level 25, because some guy held onto it after a ton of people quit, and we're all really friendly and laid back and want to get a raiding group going. So far, I
know
that we have two healers, two tanks, and at least three DPS... so if you feel like being offheals/whatever (I'm not sure exactly what the breakdown is atm) then you can join up and run some raids with us
