Azumarill is kinda insane with DrumJet.

Nyeh. I mean, a good player will always have a check to Azu somewhere. And if the attack is neutral, Azu's probably dead. Plus, anything which absorbs CB Jet can take a +6 Jet (Ferro, Nite, Jelli, etc.)

I'd honestly worry more about Sub variants.

Toxic? Pfffft. Taunt shuts down loads of things and Toxic is useless tbh.

Genesect's the worst thing on the ladder right now. It's a lot more stable since the Blazi ban. Heatran/Rotom-W is a sick core right now.

you know what gimmick set I've always loved? Sturdy Magnezone with Custap, 252 SAtk Modest, Lock-On/HP Ice/Zap Cannon/Flash Cannon.

It doesn't always work, but when it does it's like BOOM

you could run HP Fire/Grass either I suppose, or you could use Sub over FC with Leftovers vs something like Ferro, but I think the original set possibly works the best

No it will not - I just had Earth Power from Heatran do 11% damage to a Volcarona - that's FAR AND AWAY from beating it.

I do not need Heatran to take on other what you guys are assuredly thinking of - I need Heatran to KO (KO. Not Roar out, not cripple) Genesect and Volcarona. THAT'S IT. What are the best two moves for doing that? Lava Plume and AP, as they KO respective Pokmeon in one hit.


I invite EVERYONE to come battle me 1 on with Volcarona vs. Heatran with Earth Power. You'll see just how bad it is then.

Umbreon has a better shot than last gen, but I still don't know if it'll be OU. Dark is still a pretty iffy defensive typing, and without toxic or roar, a lot of things can setup on you, especially fighting types. You're also losing momentum to U-turn spam from the likes of Scizor and Genesect. But if it's got teammates covering its weaknesses I'm sure it can be a rock in a defensive core. Does it really stop Gengar though, if it uses focus blast? Come to think of it I've hardly faced any Gengars at all this gen on PO. Maybe people aren't interested in it with Mega Gengar banned, though it's still a solid attacker without the evolution.

Everytime I try to post here it's like this guy has given the answer with my exact opinion, just articulated far better.

Well after a bit of testing I came up with a team of CB Talonflame/Rotom-W with max SAtk and Tbolt to beat other Rotom-W/Mixed Attacking Aegislash/CB Azumarill/Mega Lucario with NP/RP Landorus.

It seems to be working pretty decently, previously I had a serious Rotom-W/Talonflame problem.

Also can't help but think Dragons this gen are shit - can't beat Dragonite/Chomp/Kyurem(-B)/Mence axis.

Random Battle today, my opponent had a paralyzed Tornadus-Therian which I was Air Slashing with Serene Grace Togekiss. He was using Hurricane, which is an inaccurate move.

He hit 5 times in a row, perfectly. I haven't even done the odds on it but I'd say they're astronomical.

There's a 30% chance to miss with Hurricane, there's a 60% chance of Air Slash flinching, there's a 25% chance of paralysis.

3/4/ x 2/5 x 7/10 is 42/200, off the top of my head. That's, what, 42/1000? 4.2% chance of that happening, apparently.

My math could be off here but eh.
