Eh, I can't say much. I get bored with Modded pretty easily without some sort of guide. That's why I played AgSkies like, 5 times.
Crash landing is fun. You should check out Blood and Bones too. It's a depressing, but fun, modpack. There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.

There is one aspect which is a catch-22, discovering it normally seems to be impossible because all of the items/blocks/mobs which have the aspect also require later aspects to unlock. I'm thinking it's perhaps flesh related? I ended getting by the block by combining aspects on the left research panel.
Looks like the aspects have no research points, so it will still be necessary to look at stuff with thaunometer to progress the research.
Putting the research table next to a bookshelf will allow the aspects to become silver aspects(I think that's what it's called) meaning they will slowly repopulate themselves over time. There's very little about this in the wikis. There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.

also, any aspect, save for primals, can be found by combining it's component aspects in a research table. I don't think there's any aspect in the game that can't be found through scanning, but I could be wrong about that. It's best to just scan everything you come in contact with, though. There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.

Maybe I should grind my way to a PCB so I can at least have sync before trying the city again...

How? The gravel+clay recipe is disabled in crash landing. I know I can melt pebbles down to seared stone in a crucible, but then I need a casting table to transform the seared stone into a seared brick. Are there other ways?
Right....forgot that recipe was disable.

There's a reason EE2 was remade; looks like this has all of those reasons. Not to mention rebooting / remaking mods, even with the author's consent, irks me on a higher level. If they wanted the mod to continue (and since it's their ideas that should matter to you) they would consider continuing it themselves.
EE2 was abandoned by Xenophobe because he didn't feel like developing it anymore.
Pahimar picked up EE2 and is now developing EE3
Project E is an exact remake of EE2 and Xenophobe is well aware of it.There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.

Also, dav, this is what I was referring to - not Xeno dropping development but Pahi realizing it was worth it to rewrite the mod from scratch, which he's admittedly been having trouble doing. At least he admitted the mod was flawed and wanted to improve on it.
To be completely fair, it's not so much that he's been having trouble doing it, but that he can't really find the time to actively work on it anymore because PahiPrincess was born.
He did, however, state that there were a lot of things he didn't want to re-add in EE3, but some things, i.e alchemical chest, bag, and a few others, have already been added.
EE2 was broken. I won't argue that. However, if I understand the basic premise of Project E, it brings back the old EE2 in ALMOST every way. As far as I know, you can only transmute things that have a crafting recipe, but, of course, I might be wrong about that.
I, personally, don't mind a "broken" mod, simply because, well, in my opinion, that's what modded minecraft is, but that's just me. Discussion of mods is good and encouraged. I'd rather people express opinions about suggestions as opposed to sitting back and silently hating everything.
I suggested Project E because I know some people liked the old EE2 and it'd be really nice to go back and relive some of it, for me at least. There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.

I have each of the Infused Ore blocks in relatively large quantities. If you don't already know where my place in Aroma is just fly around a bit near the others' portals and you'll see it. My ME system is open to all.

Like what? The longer the period, no matter the world, the fewer people play.
Proven. Period. Done.
Also 1.8 Anything-Modded will be FAR too long to just sit around in 1.6.4 waiting for an update. Almost everything we'd want to play with is updated to 1.7.10 and it's getting polished there and it's not going any further for a long time.
Basically this. Forge devs have said that 1.8 forge isn't going to be around for a LONG while and, even when it does come around, the mods aren't going to update right away.

If I can get some free time tomorrow, I'll do it. Neat that he's gonna be doing it on the MS server thoughThere is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.

It's a charity event where gamers stream to raise money for local children's hospitals. It's done year-round but most people really go all out in October.

I don't know that fancy shmancy ender chest trick of yours, but, when we move to 1.7, I'd prefer a clean world anyway. That's just me.There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.

But doesn't 1.7 change the way items are registered? IE no more item ID's? So how would that work? There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.

But what I'm saying is, say we put in an item like a fluiduct, which is item ID (xxxx). In the new TE, it's known as Entity:Fluiduct. Would it be able to distinguish between the old and the new? I was under the impression they completely redid the system, erasing Item ID's completely. Not just hiding them behind an alias. There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.

Lol I don't have an issue with it, I'd just rather not do it and have an item corrupt a world that we haven't even begun to play in yet.
