You can always put soul sisters together for like 100$-150$ depending on the version.

I took 3rd/4th with it at my shops PPTQ last weekend.

Turns out you almost cant lose to abzan.

Narset's a weird include in that deck because none of your spells are useful rebounded. Are you only using her to +1 and find counters?

And the only creature you have that turns on stubborn denial is your dragon?

You have no way of exiling torrent elemental from your graveyard?

Oujatai's command is only ever a 4 mana counter-draw. Playing blue-white-lategame without end hostilities or DTT/cruise is weird

NARSET
Like, the only spells you can actually cast with rebound are glint, which is pretty bad, and command to gain 4 life draw a card.

If you were rebounding Dig through time, treasure cruise or end hostilities, then she might be worth an include.

STUBBORN
Force spike is only good until your opponent knows you're playing them. Playing 4 of them seems like its just diluting your deck with bad counters to just delay your opponent by 1 turn.

TORRENT ELEMENTAL
If you're going to be playing 4 of them and green, you need to have a way to exile him so you can bring him back. Cruise and Dig are easily the best cards for that.

COMMAND
So you just dont use the get back from graveyard function and pay 4 mana to counter draw?

Why are you playing glint?

Huh.

I probably should have included the card I was talking about in my responses there.

Started 0-1, got to 5-1 before picking up loss 2 to the better version of my deck. Lost my 6-2 win and in for day 2.

Time for casinos I guess.

In post 6360, Micc wrote:Ive been playing casually with some friends to learn the game, and enjoying it enough to start buying cards. We did our own little booster draft the other night and I ended building a red white deck. To my surprise, I actually did pretty well going 4-2. So this leads to the question...whats the best way to go about buying cards for casual play?

Right now Im leaning towards just buying some bulk commons/uncommons from recentish sets to get started, but I haven't visited my local game shop yet to see how viable/costly that is quite yet. From there id probably focus on local sealed formats and leave constructed to people who know what they are doing.

Is that viable? Any other things I should know?

At my shop a bunch of the players just throw away commons and uncommons after draft, or give them away to new players. That might be an easy way to get some cards from the current sets.
