Yeah EG are looking at a minimum 40% roster change, and I realized that I don't particularly care. They don't feel like a major player in EU, much less the world.

Uh, that makes a huge difference. Consider ADCs, where one character starts with +13 armor, +7 AD, + 12 MR, and +12 ArPen. When you're talking a level 1 or 2 fight, one team literally has ~15% better stats all around. Quantic couldn't lane the way they would have liked.

And that's not even counting masteries, where not every Quantic member could take a 21st point in a tree, or build deep into two trees.

Take into account this is their first real event together, outside of comfort zones, etc., and it's a very significant difference.

Like, if you're basing anything off of that tournament performance you're probably doing it way wrong.

RxLee is Vulcun's (yes, I'm still calling it that) sub at ADC. And Lee said he's probably take the spot if offered to him.

That said, I don't think Zuna is on as short a leash as everyone seems to want/think. People are really down on them in general, but if be surprised if they're looking at relegation after this split.

I think the bottom three will be Curse, CLG, and Coast in some order or another.

Neither Curse nor Dignitas are in the market for a top laner. Quas has been a bright spot in an otherwise-mediocre split for Curse, and Cruzer fits Dig better.

If anything, I could see Dig snatching up Shiphtur to replace the probably-going-back-into-retirement-Scarra. It gives them two carries (QT/Shiphtur) and lets Cruzer continue doing his toplane thing.

Keep in mind that barring some sort of negative fallout, Hai would be pretty likely to pass on a lot of his knowledge to whomever succeeds him as shot caller, be it Lemon, Meteos, or another mid. C9 might struggle for some weeks, and may not place top 2, but there's little chance they'd see relegation simply because the cohesion is so natural among the other four, and they'd have months to grow into their new 5th.

His Zed is simply not as good as other mid laners. Mostly he tends to overextend to try to get a kill and winds up going at best 1 for 1. More often than not, he trades a solo kill for an assisted kill or just gets blown up.

Yasuo is consistently banned against him though, and yeah his Syndra is solid.

Edit: honestly, he's had some good performances as Orianna, too, but for whatever reason Ori has largelyfallen out of favor in the current meta. And his Zilean is passable, but again Zil has been consistently banned at Worlds.

Honestly, though, there's so much sketchiness surrounding LMQ's management, it's probably not a bad thing for any of them. I almost hope they disband completely and XWX goes to another NA LCS team.

I think Piglet's arrival is pretty overhyped. Doesn't solve shot calling issues, although it may take some pressure off of Voy/Quas. People are acting like Curse is suddenly Top 2 NA, though, and I'm not convinced.

EG is unchanged as of now, and I don't expect them to make any changes given how vastly they improved over the course of the summer split.

TSM will do their due diligence and get a quality Jungler. Expect C9/TSM to top the standings as usual, with CLG/CRS/EG giving chase.

Curse was going to be top 2 even if they kept Cop with their current trajectory.

They're arguably going to be #1 now.

Avatar bet that Curse will enter the playoffs 3rd seed or lower? Loser has to wear the winner's avatar choice through all of Summer Split. If you're so high on Piglet coming in, and Quas/Xpecial both being the best in their positions, I don't see why not. (And it's a win/win for me, because I really *like* Curse, but I simply disagree with you on how successful they're going to be.)

It'll be interesting to see if they get a parallel punishment for Zion. It's all but known that he was poached in basically the same manner.

I really like Piglet and have always liked Curse as an organization / team. The video of them volunteering time to play with kids was amazeballs. I am absolutely rooting for them to succeed.

It's also worth noting that FeniX's English is apparently pretty decent and that should massively help bridge any communication gap between Piglet and the rest of the team.

I don't think anybody is calling TSM one of the top few teams in the world, but IEM Katowice is still a relatively noteworthy accomplishment.

In post 3426, animorpherv1 wrote:The simple answer to FNC vs. TSM in a nutshell - have Santorin realize top lane exists.

That would have solved nothing. Gnar/Rek'Sai still loses to Cassio/Gragas, so Santorin going top would have just resulted in him burning summoners, possibly dying, etc.

The issue was two-fold:
1) Santorin took the wrong champ in champ select. He should have taken Sejuani or Gragas himself. They fixed that vs. BJK.
2) TSM didn't group up and place scouting wards to be able to lane swap. They fixed that vs. BJK.

TSM may sneak into the semis as the 4 seed, assuming they can upend AHQ.

Depends on how it's coded. I did note he had a Black Cleaver, so I'm assuming it was for teamfights. Shredding 3 people's armor and doing bunches of damage seems pretty good, although he loses a lot of beefiness for it.

Honestly I think Turtle needs a change of team/scenery if he wants to get his groove back. We've seen it with other players (Cop comes to mind, even though statistically, he was never actually *that* bad), and I think Turtle's just burnt out on trying to be TSM's ADC.

Keith is a mechanically gifted player and could be the breath of fresh air TSM needs.

Renegades look like a phenomenal group of players right now. They have absolutely clobbered C9T the last couple of nights.

I think in the long run, Badawi's departure won't mean much for them (or for TDK), but it's a terrible short-term distraction.

Doubt it. That'd be a significant change to give one specific player on one team an advantage. Casters & analysts talk all the time about nerves and being able to perform on stage rather than in the comfort of your gaming house. It shouldn't be any different for Remilia.

Correct, Zor, it's the 10-14 hours per day commitment, which is why it's even more baffling that people keep focusing on her camera shyness.

Oh, wait. Yeah, that's right.

I hate Liquid for my own reasons, but I do appreciate the attempts to generalize my opinions into "just another TSM fan". I can understand the bitterness though, I mean, it must be hard to cheer for a team who picks up players from better teams and still can't make it to a finals.

Though, it might be related to the fact that you're basically taking the most toxic sloppy seconds from teams possible. Piglet? Xpecial? IWD?

Curse or Die of Shame, right?

NA 2-0, EU 1-1. Not a bad first day. Obviously it won't continue, but hopefully perception is starting to change about Wesr being so far behind East. (We still are behind overall, but the gap isn't as big as people like to say/believe.)

Dyrus has indicated several times that he is retiring after this year, and for once it's believed that he's not just trolling.

You mean Lusboy? TSM has posted statements regarding Santorin/Dyrus/LB but I've seen no indication that WildTurtle is benched/quitting/retiring/anything:
As a result of these changes, Team SoloMid is currently holding tryouts for starters in our top, jungle, and support positions. Any candidate must have the following requirements:

The more likely Morde/ADC comp is to keep Morde bot and play someone like Varus mid. Then you still get your bruiser/split pusher out of top lane.

I have SKT v KT Rollster in my finals. I'm rooting for FNC but I don't see it happening. Hope I'm wrong though!

I mean, Meteos is putting together their challenger team so it's not like he and C9 had a falling out. I think he just needed a change of scenery.

PEdit: Yeah what quadz said.

I don't care how much roster turnover there is, I will always be a C9 fan as long as they compete.

Hai is presumably staying on the team. C9 are looking for either a Support or a Jungler, and Hai will fill the remaining position. **IF** Cloud 9 somehow manages to sign someone who's actually a ridiuclous shotcaller AND they can fill both positions, Hai would probably re-retire. But that's a big fat huge pair of IFs.

Renegades looks cool and I'm looking forward to seeing how they do in their first split. I really like crumbzz and Alex Ich.

The thing is, RNG is pretty hyped up as far as teams go. Other than Origen, I don't think that I've seen this type of popularity/publicity from a team entering challenger as I see for people anticipating RNG.

I feel like C9 wasn't that heralded until they actually started succeeding in their first LCS split, but maybe my memory does me a disservice.

EDIT: Like, I didn't know anything about them and mainly rooted for them becuase when they first joined LCS, they felt like underdogs compared to CLG/TSM. I compare their popularity as being similar to UoL, except C9 actually maintained success rather than being merely above-average.

Which is waaaayyyyyy worse.
