Yeah EG are looking at a minimum 40% roster change, and I realized that I don't particularly care. They don't feel like a major player in EU, much less the world.

Uh, that makes a huge difference. Consider ADCs, where one character starts with +13 armor, +7 AD, + 12 MR, and +12 ArPen. When you're talking a level 1 or 2 fight, one team literally has ~15% better stats all around. Quantic couldn't lane the way they would have liked.
And that's not even counting masteries, where not every Quantic member could take a 21st point in a tree, or build deep into two trees.
Take into account this is their first real event together, outside of comfort zones, etc., and it's a very significant difference.
Like, if you're basing anything off of that tournament performance you're probably doing it way wrong.

RxLee is Vulcun's (yes, I'm still calling it that) sub at ADC. And Lee said he's probably take the spot if offered to him.
That said, I don't think Zuna is on as short a leash as everyone seems to want/think. People are really down on them in general, but if be surprised if they're looking at relegation after this split.
I think the bottom three will be Curse, CLG, and Coast in some order or another.

Neither Curse nor Dignitas are in the market for a top laner. Quas has been a bright spot in an otherwise-mediocre split for Curse, and Cruzer fits Dig better.
If anything, I could see Dig snatching up Shiphtur to replace the probably-going-back-into-retirement-Scarra. It gives them two carries (QT/Shiphtur) and lets Cruzer continue doing his toplane thing.

Yeah but he's probably going to be ready by Friday. Idk wtf Nick is pulling other than stirring up TEH SOCIAL MEDIAZ, but I'd eat my face if Lustboy isn't playing Friday.

...and Hai is about to become the first Westerner to make Challenger KR. (Was D1 99 LP with a 71% win rate last I knew, solidly ahead of any other NA/EU player.)

Keep in mind that barring some sort of negative fallout, Hai would be pretty likely to pass on a lot of his knowledge to whomever succeeds him as shot caller, be it Lemon, Meteos, or another mid. C9 might struggle for some weeks, and may not place top 2, but there's little chance they'd see relegation simply because the cohesion is so natural among the other four, and they'd have months to grow into their new 5th.

His Zed is simply not as good as other mid laners. Mostly he tends to overextend to try to get a kill and winds up going at best 1 for 1. More often than not, he trades a solo kill for an assisted kill or just gets blown up.
Yasuo is consistently banned against him though, and yeah his Syndra is solid.
Edit: honestly, he's had some good performances as Orianna, too, but for whatever reason Ori has largelyfallen out of favor in the current meta. And his Zilean is passable, but again Zil has been consistently banned at Worlds.

...and Vasili has familial obligations which require him to return home.
Honestly, though, there's so much sketchiness surrounding LMQ's management, it's probably not a bad thing for any of them. I almost hope they disband completely and XWX goes to another NA LCS team.

I think Piglet's arrival is pretty overhyped. Doesn't solve shot calling issues, although it may take some pressure off of Voy/Quas. People are acting like Curse is suddenly Top 2 NA, though, and I'm not convinced.
EG is unchanged as of now, and I don't expect them to make any changes given how vastly they improved over the course of the summer split.
TSM will do their due diligence and get a quality Jungler. Expect C9/TSM to top the standings as usual, with CLG/CRS/EG giving chase.

I mean, the cutoff for Challenger teams is Nov 2 I believe, so nothing is "official" until we know who qualifies for the tournament. But they are practicing to play Ranked 5s and try to qualify.

Curse was going to be top 2 even if they kept Cop with their current trajectory.
They're arguably going to be #1 now.
Avatar bet that Curse will enter the playoffs 3rd seed or lower? Loser has to wear the winner's avatar choice through all of Summer Split. If you're so high on Piglet coming in, and Quas/Xpecial both being the best in their positions, I don't see why not. (And it's a win/win for me, because I really *like* Curse, but I simply disagree with you on how successful they're going to be.)

I really like Piglet and have always liked Curse as an organization / team. The video of them volunteering time to play with kids was amazeballs. I am absolutely rooting for them to succeed.
It's also worth noting that FeniX's English is apparently pretty decent and that should massively help bridge any communication gap between Piglet and the rest of the team.
In post 2543, Glork wrote:FeniX's English is apparently pretty decent
Tbf that has been said about literally almost every Korean that has come to LCS, so unless there's a video of them speaking, there's no way to see how much "pretty decent" is :p

That would have solved nothing. Gnar/Rek'Sai still loses to Cassio/Gragas, so Santorin going top would have just resulted in him burning summoners, possibly dying, etc.
The issue was two-fold:
1) Santorin took the wrong champ in champ select. He should have taken Sejuani or Gragas himself. They fixed that vs. BJK.
2) TSM didn't group up and place scouting wards to be able to lane swap. They fixed that vs. BJK.
TSM may sneak into the semis as the 4 seed, assuming they can upend AHQ.

I'm so sad StV is re-retired. He did say he's open to coaching opportunities but that he made his decision/announcement too late for any positions to be open for the time being.

It seems like it might not be the worst split pushing tool ever, but mehhhh. I guess it theoretically makes him more useful in teamfights when he's not in mega form?

Depends on how it's coded. I did note he had a Black Cleaver, so I'm assuming it was for teamfights. Shredding 3 people's armor and doing bunches of damage seems pretty good, although he loses a lot of beefiness for it.

Honestly I think Turtle needs a change of team/scenery if he wants to get his groove back. We've seen it with other players (Cop comes to mind, even though statistically, he was never actually *that* bad), and I think Turtle's just burnt out on trying to be TSM's ADC.
Keith is a mechanically gifted player and could be the breath of fresh air TSM needs.
