Also I realized the tone of that prior post sounded upset. I'm really more amused than upset, once i step away for a second. I'm well aware I'm not good enough at the game to get out of bronze yet. Until I learn more carry-oriented sololajners, I won't be. I just find it hard to fathom some people's mentality when they queue up for ranked.

My ping at home is a factor of ATT uverse's routing equipment, not the riot backend. Once they begin ATT peering the issue won't be an issue.

At work it's more a factor of the company firewall doing packet inspection on non standard port numbers. I imagine if I had them open the ports League uses it'd be 1-3 ping total.

For example, showing 4 people to take botlane tier one turret (presuming your botlane had lost lane) past 20ish minutes with no vision whatsoever on baron and an enemy team that is playing with any sort of map awareness.

Caitlyn
The zone control marksmen (traps are on a charge system now)
New play feel with headshot combos (trap and E trigger a guaranteed headshot on the target)

Miss Fortune
The wombo combo marksmen (ult scaling way better, can crit)
New play feel with impure shots replaced with "love tap" new passive that gives bonus damage when swapping targets (this works well with Q)

Kog'Maw
The true glass cannon hyper carry (tons of dmg needs protection)
W now doubles ALL attack speed and allows him to break the attack speed cap (but ad is lowered to 60%)

Corki
Magic damage marksmen -> passive now does big magic damage instead of true and all spells now do magic damage
New mechanic: Special Delivery -> every ~5m in the game corki gets a special set of bombs in his base that allow him to cast a super mega W with much bigger range and impact

Quinn
The map mobility/roaming marksmen
R reworked as a utility focused spell -> 0 cooldown and gives quinn crazy out of combat speed to quickly move around the map, not used for assassination anymore

Graves
We finally made his shotgun a shotgun -> up close burst damage marksmen
Basic attacks fire multiple buckshots in a cone -> more damage up close
Q reworked to synergize better with the new basic attacks

It's like... my early laning is "pray not to die" the entire time. At least before I could farm with Q. Now it's more like "pray my jungler ganks or the other guy fucks up so i can walk up to CS"

Enter Promo Helper. From Bronze through Gold 2, failing a series will get you a win credit that'll apply toward your next attempt at that series, provided you can get back in. If you're ever demoted, Promo Helper will automatically grant you max credits until you've passed as many series as necessary to get back to your season-high division.

Promo Helper is rolling out now during the off-season for testing so we can ensure everything's tuned accordingly before the 2016 ranked season starts early next year.

With the way that mana costs were redone for the preseason changes, I find this less of an issue than it used ot be. Mana regen as a stat is more valuable and does more now. And the tier two blue item having the fairy charm means an early fairy charm back as lux support is even more okay now.

So even though I enjoy nami and morgana, my winrates on them are atrocious compared to lux. I'm climbing with her pretty well; nobody respects the burst even from the support role.

I think once the season starts again i'm gonna ACTUALLY go for gold this time; excuses be damned; any and all losses are my fault for not carrying hard enough/letting myself be carried hard enough

Yeah this was on PBE a month or two ago.

It has some stipulations though.

- 2/4 must vote for it from the team with the AFK
- No deaths (besides executes) must have occurred within the first 2.5 minutes
- It must be a true afk, if the user keeps connecting and DCing in a cycle it won't work
- If you're duo/trio/etc with the player and you're hgih enough rank you get the loss anyways
