I do agree that Ekko does what she does a lot better (especially since he's not gated by the Moonlight thing to get the most usage out of her ult), but I think that Diana is less, uh, risky for newer players? She's IMO better for newer players who want to get into playing Ekko before playing Ekko himself

I have also weirdly become a jungle main. It's because I don't like the top lane meta and my skill at ADC is not high enough to compensate for a game with a lackluster support at my mmr, along with being done with the constant argument of who's fault it is that bot lane has failed.

I got beat by a plat 4 Aurelion Sol top lane while I was trundle. The early was incredibly rough because I've never played against the guy before. I'm not entirely sure if I can beat it or not. I'm also not entirely sure what that guy does to be honest? He can change the size of his galaxy stun thing? Idk bros.

it grows larger as it continues to move. it only stops when it hits something or leaves the boundaries of the ability (which is a circle around the champ). So if Sol keeps moving as fast or faster than the star thingy, then it'll keep going without stopping and will grow larger as it goes.

You can get it huge by using his ult, the ability and homeguard from base.

Who cares? It only effects you for 1 game, unless you are really unlucky. And it could just as easily be a smurf.

My point still stands: who cares? What is the worst case scenario for you? You run into 2 boosters in your series or something? It doesn't matter if you lose a series or get demoted now, because once you get back into it, they give you a W so you only have to split the next 2 or 4 games, which is easy as fuck. They give you all the help in the world to get any unlucky matchmaking back. Caring that other people are being boosted just reads like being a "jelly hater" as Athene would say. Riot should care about boosting for various reasons, but none of those reasons are because they are smoking out a small percentage of games that they help you get back in the first place.

I got smoked out of my plat series last year by boosters, and go demoted after that because it was probably luck I was even up there at all.

The only time it's super bad is like the last two weeks of the season. And you should already be where you're getting before that, because you should know better than to be playing ranked at the end of the season, especially the last few years where you couldn't get demoted cause people were going into games and just bombing them to troll prospective promoted people.


@Zoraster: The system subverts itself(no solo queue, loss forgiveness in series games, early season accelerated MMR combined with the stagnation towards the end of the season- which Dwee is a perfect example of, not to mention they don't incentivise ranks higher than gold). If you think most of your ranked games are about your personal skill, you are delusional. Basically every game is a runaway win or a runaway loss and unless you are the direct catalyst for one of those things, you're just a spectator. A spectator with a good score is still a spectator.

I'm not crazy about the dynamic queue for that reason, but regardless the idea is still there: I enter the game, the system matches me with people it thinks will give a 50/50 win rate, and we play. If the system is essentially being fooled by a booster, the whole thing is almost pointless.

Sure the dynamic queue can mess that up, as I've pointed out in depth. But at least no one is trying to cheat the system in a way that it's not designed to be done.

What's the difference between a smurf in that scenario and a booster?

And what's the difference between a coin flip being decided by one "equally skilled team" smashing the other to the tune of 30-10 or something and an "equally skilled team" lead by a higher skilled player smashing the other to the tune of 30-10? There's no difference.

League isn't really that fun in the first place, and in my experience boosting situation's are a 20 minute stomp scenario. Which is almost preferable to a "50/50" game. Because those games where everyone is the same skill almost always go 45-55 minutes, and I'd rather lose in 20 than win in 50.

I edited the post, but I'll repeat here in case you don't catch it. Losing in 20 is preferable to winning in 50. Those slogfest 50 minute games are fucking awful, regardless of who wins. Because at least you have a chance to catch a 30 minute fun game on the back end of the 50 if you lost the first one in 20 minutes.

The only time league is any fun at all is when you're way ahead. Otherwise it's kinda average. And losing in league is pretty fucking awful. It's like getting kicked in the dick every 30 seconds for 30 minutes straight.

Out of curiosity, and as someone who has almost no experience with these things, what makes it so obvious that this account is boosting?

High KDA ratio on particular champions or in a particular role while the rest are low(normally coincides with a sudden change to that role), flipped summoner spells(flash on the opposite key), frequency of play can occasionally be a tip off. And as Hiplop said, normally it's just the obviousness of a guy who's skills are fair better than they should be. For a sports analogy, it'd be like Danilo Gallinari suddenly becoming imbued with the skill set of LeBron James.


Pedit 2: That never happens. Nobody pays for a boost to a higher rank only to bomb the account back to the lower rank. That's a ridiculous argument.

That's simply not true. If you use Hippo's numbers(w=15 l=23) you get a loss of -2 LP per 10 games if you win at a 60% clip. A 55%clip loses you 11 lp every 20 games. And from personal experience of boosting someone from B5 who had w=16 l=21 mmr due to playing poorly for 80 games. It took me winning at an 80 or 90% clip over 80+ games to get it back to positive gains of w=21 l=18/19. The account is now S5. I think the only reason it evened out was cause i won 15 games with it while duoing with someone at gold mmr - which I believe is the only why I've ever truly fixed a tanked mmr problem(I had to do it season 3 or 4 on my main account by duoing with the one and only Track Pad Ray and winning like 5ish games WAY over my head).

Eventually your MMR and Tier/LP will even out over time if they're not at the same spot. If you are still raising your MMR over time, that is still climbing even if it doesn't look like it.

Over the long term of say 200 games? Sure, you're climbing, but how many people play 200 games a season(and maintain a over 50 percent winrate? If you don't count the games I played boosting the b5 and only my 2 accounts, I'm at less than 70 games total. And probably won't ever get more than that.

I didn't mean the item was bad on him, I meant more that he seems to no longer be on an even playing field with his former fellow jungle disappearing compatriots. They all get the Bloodrazer than find it completely unnecessary to hide in the jungle, so they gank more than the used to, whereas wick can pretty much still only gank every 90 seconds. The adverse affect of this item no longer being stacking (although less powerful) is that now it compounds the wick problem of "can I get my money from the jungle and my minimal ganking opportunities to become a monster?" by allowing everyone else to not have to stay in it.

I agree, but now it's significantly more(anytime there is even a slight opportunity vs every 90s). And you could alleviate the "slow stack" issue by getting objectives and scaring your opponents off said objectives because you could probably win a trade/duel and/or hold them until help came. You can't alleviate the my opposing jungler has no reason not to continually gank because he got his thing and has more tools problem.

I'm not sure if he can still solo them because they seem significantly stronger. I've only played 1 jungle game since the change, because I had to work most of the time the patch has been up so him not being able to solo take objectives is speculation.

Edit: Also, objectives become harder to take if the enemy jg gets his team significantly ahead of yours, or your team is bad.
