I wanted to try my hand at SC2, so I downloaded the free starting game where you can only play Terran (fine by me, since I'd pretty much only play Terran in anyway). I have a little experience with SC1, but there are so many new units in SC2 that not much of that experience carries over. Any good advice for starting out? Easy Terran build orders? Also, what are some good websites for SC2?ShowTotal: 17/15/1

Most of the people who post here lately are pretty casual with some noteworthy exceptions, but I guess Team Liquid is probably the go-to place?- xRECKONERx

if you're just starting, something silly like 3 rax with 2 reactor 1 tech lab one base into expand and then reactor-ed star port double medivac and stim attacking with MMM should suffice for a bit.
Alternatively if you practice micro enough you should be able to beat most terrans and zergs with early reapers.
mostly depends on what "little" sc1 experience means (i.e. casual campaign/customs with friends, East, Iccup D, Fish etc.)FLASH OF GREEN- TiphaineDeath

If you're new just go MMM: Marine, Marauder, Medivac. Solid unit composition. I play Protoss though, so I can't give specific build order advice.
On a related note, I keep doing blink stalker all-ins against Terran and for some reason it keeps working. I'm around low to mid Diamond, so maybe Terrans just don't know what to do at this level. I will say that they often seem to think widow mines will save them, even though I can just blink around them.
My PvT is 69%, and PvP is 50%, but unfortunately my PvZ is only 38%. I hate Zerg. Probably because unlike with the other two races I can't punish them for taking a 2nd base (while I'm on 1 base), which is my M.O. in the other two matchups. Also, Mutalisks ruin my day almost every time they show up.CLICK HERE FOR THE ALDUSKKEL APPRECIATION PAGE

just 2-immortal warpprism zealot party.
its hilarious
(see Nani vs. whateverzergheplayedinwcs/TLO/when he's on neo planet)
^^^Will work on the super long run level-wise on certains maps too.
1 base should start getting smashed at latest in Masters I think, just scout it and play defensive with siege tanks and bunkers and chortle. Lrn2proxyimmortall all in too or something, Nani vs. Lucifron was fucking hilarious.FLASH OF GREEN- Iecerint

The problem with Phoenixes is I end up spending all my time microing them and then my macro slips. Also, Phoenixes are basically garbage against everything else, the only other thing you can use them for is harassment, except any decent Zerg will have several spore crawlers in their bases when they see mass Phoenix.CLICK HERE FOR THE ALDUSKKEL APPRECIATION PAGE

The trick is scouting. Hallucinatedphoenixs should keep you informed of his tech if you are at any point unsure. A good rule of thumb is throw down one stargate per base he has when you scout mutas.
Phoenix's can do damage even around spore crawlers and are terrifyingly efficient at killing hydralisks, vipers, and the ocassional off gaurd infestor. If you scout his muta and respond appropriately you can take your third behind canons and go in to the late game comfortably ahead.Chaos, Panic, Disorder, my work here is done.
