I loved Brood War so much... way more then I like SC2. I just got onto SC2 again and realize how bad I am now lol!

Speaking of Brood War (a month plus later), does anyone have any interest in playing ACTUAL Brood War? I know ICCUP still have a version for their gateway available on their website, and they still have a launcher that still actually works and the gateway is still a thing.

So I'm actually excited about this again, a bunch of the old great korean players came back from another league to the GSL so MC and MarineKing and Soulkey are all around so far and apparently San dates all the way back to Season 1 of pre-HoTS SC2 too!

I just acquired both WoL and HotS in the bundle, and have been playing through the campaign now! Looking forward to learning to multiplayer, but I haven't played any RTS games before other than MOBAs, so I really suck

I just played my first multiplayer game today and got massacred horribly (TvT). I saved the replay, not sure how to share it with you or anyone else, but I'd like to learn what I'm doing wrong.

You can "share" a replay by jumping into a party with a friend and watching it together - at least that's one of the easy Blizzard-implemented/supported way to do it. I'd be able to hop on SCII for another hour or two if you're around now, to watch with you and give general pointers...?

You're better than you think! That Terran player shouldn't've been matched against you. It's probably what you said: as the Matchmaking gets more used to things like your APM and similar basic technique things you'll get matched against more appropriate opponents and I think you'll do relatively well!

Fun practice game though. Klazam tells me you won with help from one of my Carriers. Sorry my laptop died - I expected it but couldn't do anything because my chargers are both dead. Borrowed one and I can be on later; hit me up when you're back if I'm around.

When I used to play this years ago, I actually found Bronze more challenging than Silver, because Bronze had a very high rate of cheesy starts that you just kinda have to weather. After that, you hit people with poor APM who try to play the game, and so on.
