Hmm OK, I get paid on Thursday so I think I'm gonna start again around then.
An issue I'm having is that I don't know what class I want to play. The only class I've played past level 20ish was my feral druid which is like level 45 iirc. I guess it was fun but I'm not entirely convinced. Any suggestions?

neither of us do, but we're both planning on playing Legion

Legion hype train?

Hype train indeed. I am very excited to get home and play. I've heard nothing but good things so far...

How is Legion?

legion might be the best expansion since WOTLK but i think the idea of grinding out an MMO has just lost its luster

I made a hunter on a free trial and feel very meh

I used to love this game

I miss people, TBH. I used to love the relaxing rituals of farming nodes or rare drops, just cutting loops, while talking to shit to mates on TS, Vent, or skype. It was like...a hangout with this little skinner box to make it feel like it was toward somethign. Then once a week or so we'd all get together, and fail at MC or something. And another once a week we'd all get together and do a drunken pvp raid on Stormwind or something.

It was about the people, the social layer, the game just gave us something to achieve together. If a bunch of my mates played it, or even two of them, I'd probably play along with them. But most of my friends play Tabletop RPGs at the moment, so that the game we hang our social blanket over.

I've thought a lot lately that I'd really like to play WoW again, or some sort of MMO. I miss raid night, and I miss the ritualism of preparing for it by gathering mats. I miss the achievement and the constant goals. I miss having a new thing coming, or being able to spend time idly by doing dailies or farming gold. I miss knowing that while everyone else has heroics on farm or whatever that WE downed the boss because we put the effort in.

I miss that, and I regret that I left it because the guy who ran the guild/raid team that I was in was a guy I worked with and was a total cunt, so I don't have somewhere to go back to. I miss it.

@oman: yeah, my vanilla raid group is playing right now, and it's basically what's keeping me in the game. Blizzard has done a pretty good job of trashing any community aspect this game had, so it's hard to jump back in after a while unless you know people playing.

@Oman: Yep, that's my problem, too. There's no more community feel because everyone's all scattered and plays at different times. tbh, Brock and I are probably gonna give FF14 another go here in the next month or so

I've been thinking of playing this again. I've been on and off since 2010.

I would probably spend time chilling on Wandering Isles, having a bunch of people chilling there could be fun, party turtle.

My main is a tauren druid that I mainly fly around exploring with. I found a nice little spot in the mountains South of Mulgore that I made my home. I also like swimming around the rivers. Wish the deer travel form was separate from the fly/swim. I enjoy just prancing around as a deer.

Anyone leveling alts 100-110 (maybe for attempts at the HH Mount) now's a good time to take advantage of lots of extra exp. The legion invasions are worth almost a full level of exp each, somewhere around 3/4ths of a level give or take, so you'll usually go up a level with each invasion done, even if you can't do all of the quests because they are 110 after the initial zone ones. Brewfest is up, and if you're present for the tapping of the keg (6:15 AM and PM PST Daily) you get a Two hour exp bonus buff (+10%) that lasts through death. this will boost your invasion exp. The DM Faire will hit before Brewfest ends so for one day (possible two), you can get both the Brewfest buff and the Faire Buff for total of 20% bonus exp across the board!

So apparently legacy severs are gonna be a thing.
