I play on Cockatrice. It's healthier for my pocketbook.
"Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? Power? Something worth causing the prince so much pain for?'"
"Well, I..."
"What? Nothing? You would make the prince suffer over... nothing?"

@Untrod: This is a great use for Draco too Image

I want to play some games with some people on here on something that isn't MTGO(cause I'm broke).

The angel is powerful but it won't see any play outside of standard. Any deck that cheats things out would rather have Image

I really want to try out that French Rites deck.

@Whoever said that RDW was the least interactive deck in some format: You're retarded. Attacking your opponent is interacting with them. Killing their creatures so you can kill them is interactive. RDW is always one of the more interactive decks in any format. Combo decks generally aren't interactive. Searching your library, pooling a shitload of mana, drawing a bunch of cards, then killing your opponent isn't interactive. Playing a bunch of creatures/burn spells and attacking/damaging them every turn for about 3-4 turns is very interactive.

Does anyone know of any deck list databases that are any good since deckcheck has been dead forever?

And is standard fun or is it just dominated by U/W Delver?

Panzer, this is the most diverse Standard in years. U/W Delver, W/x Tokens, G/R Wolf Run (and the billion variants of all three), G/x Aggro, Haunted Humans, B/u Zombies, Birthing Pod, RDW, all place at tournaments relatively frequently. There's also a bunch of fringe-viable decks like Heartless (Grixis and U/B), FRites, Tempered Steel, Mono-B Infect, even some G/R Aggro-wolf decks can do really well.

Also, FRites, to me at least, is as one-dimensional as decks go. I know someone who played it for a while, then quit and made a Pod deck instead. He said it was too boring, and too vulnerable to Surgical Extraction to be useful right now.

I <3 MY B/U ZOMBIES DECK.

I just need to pick up another Diregraf Captain & Tragic Slip. Been playing with the idea of putting in a couple Grimgrin, Corpse-Borns but I think my deck is okay w/out it.

I thought the end of the SoA-m10-ZEN-M11 season was incredibly diverse, right before Scars came out(Elfdrazi, Jund, Conscription, pyromancer, rdw, RUG, turbo fog) , but if all those decks are truly viable(last two events i looked up had 5/8ths Delver in the top 8) it will be worth checking out.

Also, I play legacy, so French Rites is right up my alley. Most Legacy decks are one dimensional.

Sometimes I miss playing FNM with the boys, but I never had enough money to buy lots of packs to pull the power cards or buy them online for the retarded prices they got to (cash seize, Abyssal purse-executor etc.)

I quit right before inistrad, which I kinda regret cos it looked like real cool set.

Legacy is an Eternal format: cards never rotate out of it, and almost every card is allowed, except for a small-ish banlist. Vintage uses the same sets as Legacy, but the banlist is significantly smaller. Modern is a new format using everything from 8th Edition up (all of the Modern card frames, also has a large-ish banlist), while Extended allows the 4 most recent sets (in this case, Shards of Alara, Zendikar, Scars of Mirrodin, Innistrad).

Legacy and Modern are the two big fish besides Standard. No one plays Extended, and Vintage has a ridiculously high price entry point.

Reck, they're trying to explain this to you and I think its going over your head because you don't have basics they're taking for granted.

Magic play is divided up into two types of play: Limited and constructed. Limited is split into draft and sealed, which we talked about the other night, and the now defunct rochester draft (which was awesome) Constructed is split into different formats based off of what cards are legal. In standard the last 2 blocks are legal in addition to the latest core set. In this instance, M12.

Legacy, extended, vintage, modern, block, pauper, etc, are all different kinds of constructed formats. The only difference between them being the cards that are legal (based on what kinds of sets are allowed, what cards are banned, or, in paupers case, the rarity of the cards.)

Netdraft is still around and you can get the up to date patch in their IRC channel.

Does netdraft allow for Rochester draft?

Also Reck, if you want to practice drafting (not that these sites are great when you know 100% what your doing, as the bots dont take the best card 100% of the time, but it cant hurt).
try something like http://draft.bestiaire.org/index.php
or

Unfortunately no, which is why I personally use netdraft the most. As if you have that and magic workstation (a free way to play magic online, but literally one of the shittiest made programs ever) you are able to play other people in a 8 person tournament.
