Clinkz has ALWAYS been a pub stomp hero, I don't think I've ever seen him picked competitively except this month.

Clinkz is a pub stomper because he has insane DPS but zero CC and CC is king in organised teamfights.
I imagine you could build a team around him kind of like a League team with Clinkz as the AD Carry. I don't think it would be a very good idea, but i can imagine it working.

Also: PheonixIV and\or Invertible Hippopotamus

What?
Clinkz has always been a good pick.

He's really bursty once he gets Orchid, so he can roam and pick off supports with ease, he does impressive damage to towers, and he can screw with Chen something wicked.

He's no firstpick/ban material, but he's a useful hero. He has a tendency to disappear off the competitive map, but that's more down to people playing favourites. Mouz Black is pretty much bringing him back though.

I'm just saying, he hasn't been actually picked since recently.

It certainly can work.

Just going to throw out there that I suck because I don't know what anyone does and one second I'm farming, the next I'm getting 3-second stunned and then nuked accordingly because I got in range of the wrong hero and didn't know it.

From what I remember he's generally considered a sub-par pick in competitive play, not because he's bad, but because the role he fills (roaming pure DPS) isn't actually a very useful role to have in most team compositions.

I suggest you play some bot games to learn all the different heroes and what they do, you don't even have to complete the games just figure out what different heroes do and move on.

If you have any questions, ask. Also if you think you're ready to play but have no one to play with, shoot me a message.

When I said I got stunned and nuked, I was talking about bot games. <_< >_>

Solo bot games can be kind of nasty, because Bots get pretty stupid when forced to work with humans, and enemy bots are chainstunning terminators who hunt you down ruthlessly, especially if your hero is considered a carry.

I mainly played Invoker and Anti Mage. Trying to learn the game, forcing my opposing mid bot out of lane, getting some tower hits in, then having a 4-5 man gank take place on me is fucking retarded.

Again, I am totally down for just running through some practice or bot matches just chatting away on the mic or text telling people all about how to play.

New player? Want to be better at dota? Want a good laugh? Take a few lessons from The King:

Kingraven is basically the worst of pub scum. Terrible at the game, toxic attitude.

It's funny because I've seen him do all of those things when I've watched him play, whilst typing in all-chat about how much his team sucks.

Hindu, if you're just starting, Invoker really isn't the best first choice. :P

Uhh everyone has bad games? The fact that you reference a few games as evidence (made by his friends) of his game knowledge is validation of your confusion.

Yes its hilarious, Darox. But because he's The King he takes it in stride. You might want to read this: http://www.dotallyrad.com/2012/06/the-g ... -confused/
