I think it's interesting that Xayah became a top tier pick because of Braum nerfs and the Akali rework, and in the second round robin phase everyone is like "let's pick Akali into Xayah anyways".

A common theme Frosk kept pushing in LPL was the "lane kingdom" which referred to Uzi+Ming and sometimes Xiaohu. Heart picked for lane to smash Uzi+Ming. They failed.
That doesn't mean it was a bad pick or troll pick. It was a bad pick because engage are top class right now for a reason. Zeke's burns for 1000s of damage while giving tank stats. Ardent censer looks dumb in the age of Stormrazor.
Either he wanted to say "but my players beat Uzi in lane, Uzi sucks" no matter the game result or he was testing RNG not for the benefit of his team / players but for the other LCK teams. Bad coaching.
Jesus this draw was maybe the perfect draw for Fnatic.
KT meanwhile draws the strongest 2nd seed, and G2 was not a great draw for RNG tbh (although RNG are still favorites I feel like they'd have preferred EDG or maybe even IG because those are more known quantities). IG gets a likely RNG if they beat KT (although if IG and G2 both pull off upsets, IG is in the finals).
3-2-2-1-0 for major regions advancing out of groups is pretty balanced if you ignore LMS being bad, too. Honestly idk what system Riot uses for worlds seeding, but LMS needs to have their coefficient murdered after their 3rd/4th/4th performance this worlds.
teams will actually respect the pick and get easy cc like syndra, if they don't ban or pick him. that is an unforgivable draft mistake from kt. i hope ashe and varus were banned too.
I actually don't care because KT getting the reverse sweep might be best for my wallet.
(Ig already covered the spread so that's a win, but it keeps my 2unit kt-fnc parlay alive, but it does lower my 5 unit bet on China winning worlds - but ultimately the best thing for that bet would be edg playing spoiler regardless of the KT outcome. )
