Man, I hope this wildcard team decides to play spoiler and beat RNG. Who are these guys anyway? Are they brazilian, like Kaboom?

This just tends to happen when you put a wildcard team into a group with 3 superior teams. They maybe win one game but just get stomped out everywhere else and it results in just too many wins in the pool for a 3-3 to get anywhere.

It's a shame.

Really unhappy with the casting this year.

1. Riv and Quickshot are awful. They have no idea how the game is played, hype up things that don't real, and go on unrelated tangents all the time. They only have a job because they're the "face" of their regions.

2. Phreak/Quickshot only know how to flame people. Deficio is guilty of this, but Deficio wasn't dropped on his head as an infant, so he has some redeeming qualities.

3. The promotions are overbearing. If somebody fumbles the "ACER Predator replay" somebody else will awkwardly remind everyone that it was, in fact, an ACER Predator replay. I doubt they're contractually obligated to say it every time, because they had missed it often during play-ins. It's like they get thrown bills every time they say it, which makes it all the more pathetic when they forget to say it and have to be corrected.

5. Yodaspeak. Sometimes it's intentional, and whoever talks like Yoda to look cool, immediately becomes my least favourite person ever. What is different at this worlds isn't simple deliberate Yodaspeak, but every game a caster is saying something like "they know they can't contest, C9 is".

. It's like there was an internal memo that informed the casters that the average viewer is pants on head stupid and needs everything explained. Never mind that you know which team they're referring to if, I don't know, the viewer decided to open their eyes? What's worse is that when they fumble and end up yodaspeaking they could easily just continue their train of thought. Example: "they know they can't contest, C9 has to find the right plan to proceed". Nope, just yoda this bitch.

4. Calling Group B the Group of Death because your favourite teams were expected to never get out is hilariously racist. That's not even the meaning of "group of death".

5. The best caster is on the analyst desk because he's an OGN employee and not a Riot one. Classy.

I think I'm done watching the english broadcast. There's nothing redeeming about it.

quickshot isn't bad. riv has been pretty off though. phreak has never been a favorite of mine. your specific complaints are incredibly petty, but you do you.

AFS narrowly wins group with a close win over g2. A bit of a disappointing outcome, but AFS seems to have cleaned up their play a fair bit. They def look beatable still, though, and I could easily see them losing in the quarters to a strong 2nd seed (Fnatic/IG, for instance)
