I'd say about a 150-300 hours, depending on how many cutscenes you skip/how many fast dungeon queues you get.

Yeah, that was the fear. Pass.

Yeah, that was the fear. Pass.

If you get into the story then those 200 hours will go by p quickly

At the absolute least it would take me 2 and a half months if I played no other game. I just don't have the time to commit 200 hours to a game just to get to the good part.

that's a pretty horribly bad exaggeration, people leveled alts into old endgame content in 2-3 days (30-40 hours) and they've increased exp since then

that'll put you into pre-expansion content; from there it's a similar 30-40 for heavensward, but whether or not you'd be having fun by that point depends on perspective (a lot of the old content IS fun first-time; it only became unfun to us burnouts because some of it we had to grind for
literally a year and a half
because they kept finding ways to recycle old content to force us to run it again

if people don't know what they're doing (first time playing)
I really do think it will take someone 150-300ish hours to hit a state where you no longer feel like you are 'behind' your friends
DPS dungeon queues are ewwwww
before the days of low level roulette you had to wait 58 minutes for fucking totorak

We should have new Tank/Healer roles every month to help DPS queue times

The main story is pretty good apart from a lull in the 30-38 level range.

that's why you make friends that help you out instead of making you feel behind constantly

remember that it's a $18 server transfer premium to play with cool people like me due to gilgamesh's overpopulation issue

the short version of it is the number of hours it takes for it to be worth it depends on how much effort you're willing to put into making your time worth it, how much you enjoy the journey to 1-50/60 (contrary to popular belief and something that we all forget once we hit level cap, is that leveling the first time isn't just a horrible grindfest unless you're exclusively focused on endgame and can't see the forest through the trees, so to speak), and your ability to network and make friends that make your time that valuable

I enjoyed the story from 1-60 despite all the shitty queues and whatnot, and enjoyed endgame for some part at 50.
but then again I made the mistake of choosing the coolest server name instead of the one ppl actually play on
So here I am, just paid $18 to xfer to Sargantanas. :/

I dunno if anyone would give a shit about watching, but Geek and Sundry is starting a new show on their twitch channel, Mondays at 7 Pacific, with Orion Acaba and Jessica Marzipan playing this game.

WELCOME TO 3.05 WHERE EVERYTHING'S MADE UP AND THE TOMESTONES DON'T MATTER

regarding weapons: esoterics weapons are 210, as are gordian (alex savage) weapons, meaning that there are 10 BiS weapons from A4 and 3 BiS from tomestones+gobdip drop from A4 (BLM for higher spspd value, SMN for crit/spspd over det/crit which is now worse due to dot scaling and a lack of mana issues, and DRK because parry is godawful UNLESS they want to avoid skspd)

it seems as if tomestone weapons do not require a token like the SCoB/FCoB weapons did - this throws almost everything we know about gearing out the window immediately, and requires further alex farming as a gap while dps farms up weapons (WHMs seem to be the only class that can get away with hive being better than eso)

Well from what I read in the notes, raiding is ineffective.

After everyone in the group clears something, youre done with that turn til tuesday

that's how raid tiers work

i didn't ask your item level, i asked your confidence - item level doesn't tell me shit on a healer (skill>gear every time in healing)

(You have to swap in replacements for more runs)

Oh, I can keep up with the best of them. Only reason I havent cleared Bisex is DPS, not my healing ability.

So what I learned from playing A1 savage:

If your DPS isnt good enough to clear the mini boss, youre gonna die quick.

Also, holy fuck healing both tanks when they are taking soo much damage at once is exhilarating.
