SpyParty is a super cool game that is in open beta right now. We are organizing a SpyParty league so that we can get some regular games going and raise our collective skill and experience levels. No experience is necessary to join. None of us are very good at this game, so don't worry about being a complete beginner.

We're doing a round robin schedule for Season 1.

Eight is a good starting number for a round-robin league. I'll give the signup thread a little more time and then we can talk about details.

I'm thinking we can do nested best-of-three matches with each Spy/Sniper pairing. Record wins/losses.

Better ideas?

How much space does this take up in the HDD? And does it require much high performance?

It's in open beta so it should be open indefinitely. Price may go up once the big post-PAX graphical overhaul goes live.

I meant signups for this league.

What kind of game? How do you play? The FAQs wasnt very clear.

One person is the Sniper, one is the Spy, the Sniper tries to shoot the Spy, the Spy tries to blend in and complete objectives.

from cursory examination it looks like it might work, but I'm pretty ignorant of such things. use googlefu.

Google is always full of whargarbl on the matter of running games under Linux. I knew we had a strong contingent of Linux users here so I was looking for a testimonial before dropping $15 (yes I can reboot, but that seems overkill for a quick game like SpyParty).
