Personally I'd rather have a game forum that allowed threads for individual games rather than the one we have. Much more convenient to click into discussion about a specific game vs finding it in a catch all thread.

In this specific case though, having the IDs peppered in the video game thread is not the ideal way to actually find them.

I'd be willing to bet that it's because of two things:

1) Apparently we can't have more than one video game thread except those that Reck likes.
2) Kcda's OP and title was horrendously written.

The argument basically boiled down to "we can't make a VG forum because there's not enough interest in multiple VGs but the main reason we don't have interest in multiple VGs is because there isn't a VG forum."

IMO it could be a great idea, but our track record isn't the greatest. I tried to set up an MP night, but that fell apart because the only games we could agree on were TF2 and Civ5. I think the main problem is that we all tend to be a little scatterbrained with games, so organized events don't really work out.

A forum where we can just say "hey I'm playing X right now come join me" or "I'm playing Y and holy fuck it's awesome let's talk about how awesome it is" would be ideal, but only if there's enough people taking advantage of it.

Problem is if we go by games everyone has, our only choices are TF2, Civ, and LFD.

otherwise we'd only get 2 or 3 people showing up
