pls don't waste your breath.

as someone who plays a lot of games very seriously, and has been playing almost exclusively standard at ranks 5-legend over the last 4-5 months, I'm gonna go ahead and say that you're not going to convince me that patches isn't busted in half.

you're entitled to your opinion, it's just clearly wrong.

If it matters all, Reynad also says patches is broken and has been warping the meta since it dropped.

Patches being busted is kinda why creeper is busted because it enables creeper. I wish they would of tried nerfing patches first then addressing creeper later,

creeper was always going to be busted. It was a design mistake, plain and simple. It might have been ok as a class minion, or a class legend, but as a neutral its just way too format defining.

This wasn't the argument that I was making but sure, I'm okay with not having this conversation anymore.

How was it not? You said the "standard whiners" got patches needed but like...patches is busted in wild too.

But then on the other hand I just lost 4 in a row and dropped to rank 8 because the only decks on the ladder are control decks that stabilize on turn 5.

I invested most of my wild collection into Razakus priest and hit legend mixing it and Jade Druid but decided not to try and grind for a high legend finish this season.
Just playing as many games as possible to climb doesn't teach me as much as giving each one some review and study to learn from it.
Jade druid will do a lot better with bonemare and corridor creeper weakened because those cards are really bad news when you don't have a solution to large minions.
I think I'm going to try Harrison Jones as my tech card now to kill the Warlock and rogue weapons I'm sure we'll see loads of. Hits Pally / mage weapons too, so it won't be dead much unless everything is spiteful summoner decks. I experimented with Astral tiger so that oaken summons would always have something to hit and I don't get fatigued by geist, but it didn't seem worth it this season.
Not having Razakus decks to get free wins off of will overall hurt Jade druid a lot though, as will seeing more of the bad cubelock matchup. I might look into a build geared toward fatiguing out cubelock, I've done it sometimes but I'm considering adding deathwing or something.
Wait why doesn't Jade Druid currently run auctioneer... It might be really good now with lesser jasper to help it get rolling and a thinner deck overall, hmmm.
Gonna try some of that.

So since aggro is getting the big nerf, can we ban all the stuff that stops aggro on turn 4 and 5 to even the playing field?

I mean it's a way to drop one of their shiny finder's.

Which can potentially give you some time when their deck isn't ran out to get a win out.
Returning win rate: 4/1, 80%
In the process of creating a game to mod, we will see what it holds.

just got a golden sindragosa! disenchant for legendary?
What's good these days? I havent played in a while. Warlock DK? Is Aya still good?

edit: a quick look suggests warlock is basically top tier here, but I'm missing key cards from any warlock deck still (giants package, cube, voidlord, keleseth) that idk if I even want to commit there.

edit2: turns out i already have two voidlords. nifty.

Aya's good, but will be rotating in a couple months. Warlock DK is really good, and will be around for another year, and is a big part of what's almost certainly the best deck right now.
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

I don't mind rotation, but maybe Aya can wait. I crafted Tarim yesterday, so maybe I'll craft Warlock DK and run a less effective Renolock until I pick up whatever the youngsters are running these days in their Renolocks.

I could have sworn I'd posted in this thread before.

This has been my favorite game for a while now, ever since Shadow made me start playing it again in MSG. I mostly enjoy creative deckbuilding and/or modifying existing decks to adjust to the meta. I've only hit Legend once, using a Keleseth Val'Anyr Paladin during the second month of KaC. Val'Anyr + Saronite/Doppelgangster is ridiculously fun, and it hit a sweet spot in the meta for a few weeks before falling out of favor.

Right now I'm messing around with Cube/Play Dead in what would otherwise be Midrange Hunter. Hit a stump at Rank 7. Play Dead can surprisingly fit just fine in decks with enough deathrattles. You're already running Kindly Grandmother, a 1 mana 3/2 is great. Late-game, you want to cube sticky minions like Highmane/Infested Wolf/even Kindly Grandmother. Or Huffer. Huffer is a fun cube target.

On phone but I'll just list it all grossly and unformatted

x2 Alleycat
x2 Dire Mole
x2 Play Dead
x2 Crackling Razormaw
x2 Kindly Grandmother
x2 Scavenging Hyena
x2 Animal Companion
x1 Devilsaur Egg
x2 Eaglehorn Bow
x2 Kill Command
x1 Terrorscale Stalker
x2 Unleash the Hounds
x2 Cult Master
x2 Houndmaster
x1 Infested Wolf
x2 Carnivorous Cube
x1 Savannah Highmane

Definitely wouldn't call it "refined" but it's been working well for me, if you're thinking a certain change would work well you're probably right. I tried more standard Big Hunter with Kathrena and Corpse Widow/Tundra Rhino but it didn't perform as well, might go back to messing with it soon.

One fun thing to note is that Corpse Widow reduces Cube's cost to 3. I feel like there's a combination there that would make a good build.

What’s standard like? Is it also Paladins abusing Call to Arms and Warlocks abusing Cubes?
