Divinity 2 came out today. 45 on steam.

The game has improved for sure as it feels like there is far more to do then before. Playing with people makes it so much more enjoyable too because of all the different interactions that can happen.

I'm thinking of streaming it with some friends tonight.
Looking for love in Alderaan places.

Red Dead Redemption 2 hype.
Of all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

My friends are I started playing Factorio this week. We're basically all software developers, so we're hooked on automation.

Did anyone really get anything out of the Xenoblade X ending other than pure confusion? If so please enlighten me? (Without spoiling the game for anyone else obviously.)

I love the Xenoblade series.

Spoiler: The Ending
I'm guessing you mean regarding The Lifehold being de-powered and thus 'why are we all still alive'?

They don't answer that, no, and even Elma is surprised. I'm *guessing* its the planet itself, given that their ability to understand foreign languages likely comes from Mira itself as is postulated in Chapter 5. We also know that Mira, itself, actively prevents people from LEAVING (The Ganglion cannot escape) and at the same time draws people to it (Humans, Manon, Ganglion, among other; IIRC the Nopon and L are the only locals).

If you've played the original Xenoblade Chronicles, my guess is that this has something to do with The Monado and/or Alvis.
But we don't have an official answer and/or likely wont unless they make a sequel or tie in some/all of their games together.

Oh and regarding Lao, there's some speculation that he was brought back as a *human* and not a Mim based on his eyes when he awoke (given Mims have that circle effect in their eyes, but its been a long time since I've read into that.

Does anyone play this? I just bought it. I don't think it sold well but idk why. Seems p cool to me. It's very dragon agey.

It was a pretty decent action RPG from my recollection but nothing groundbreaking. I never finished it or got particularly far in it and I think that might say something about the game.

I know I'm late to the party, but I finally picked up Doom on the Steam Sale. Holy shit, this is the most purely fun shooter I have ever played. I just completed the campaign and I am already wanting to jump back in for another run.

Not to mention... Multiplayer is pretty great, too.

If you haven't picked it up yet... do it.

I finally got myself a copy of Horizon in a Black Friday sale.

Good to see that there IS a game that is everything FarCry Primal should have been.

Having played a bit of it, it isn't GOTY worthy. There is nothing groundbreaking about it except maybe the subject matter.

All of the mechanics are exact replicas of things that exist in other current generation games.

Like it's almost an exact carbon copy of a far cry game.

The way it approached combat was astounding IMO. The fact you can't just hack and slash your way to victory and have to carefully plot out your paths is A+++

There was no mechanical difference between far cry and horizon in terms of combat.

Both are effectively bow only games with a few other tricks and melee instant kills on small enemies.

I don't think I have ever seriously used a gun in far cry except when I was under time pressure.

Horizon is definitely harder though, and more varied.

It is definitely a better game, but not so much in terms of mechanics. Story tho.
