At least, you're lucky it wasn't a 4p playthrough. There were 5 of us when we played, and we noticed that for whatever reason, we were always better at following our plan on the attempts where we'd rotate my brother out."Dammit Felissan, making someone lose the game is NOT NICE"- DeathRowKitty 2016

for instance the area denial nature of husting hulks will works the same / even better when you scale the number of the vek up because there is a limit to the number of good squares they can act from and you often get vek standing around unable to reach a good square or force them shoot at mecs which you can just moveRoutine day with a dirt cheap brush

Frost Titans are so OP, partly because freezing a Vek is basically a one-hit KO, and partly because frozen Vek still count as alive and on the map for spawns- the game will actually spawn fewer Vek in future turns if you leave Vek alive but frozen instead of killing them. Add in that frozen Vek also deny a square, and they act as an auxillary target for unfrozen Vek, and that if the frost artillery is shielded (by having Bethany pilot), it becomes immune to its own freeze, and it's just ridiculous. One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.- PJ.

Steel Judoka is by far the most misunderstood group simply because they rely on others to do damage for them.In post 2953, TheButtonmen wrote:

But yeah, the Rusting Hulks are my go-to squad because of the area damage over time and you can pull off cool moves if you can use the smoke effectively. Also, Chen Rong on either the jet or pulse is insanely good since you can hit-and-run on jet or bunce-and-run on pulse.
I've played them ONCE and won.In post 2955, TheButtonmen wrote:i can not get hazardous mecs to work on hard though
in fact i can barely get them to work on normal lol
The key, I found, was upgrading damage in sync with upgrading healing-from-killing. Because attacking and not killing something hurts in the long run. So if you cant kill it don't attack it or kill it with a hazard etc.
@Reck: If you need help winning in general, the damage team of [Combat, Rocket, Boulder] is solid, especially if you focus all your core into damage upgrades. Rocket and Combat are capable of 4 damage attacks and it gets better with terrain/hazards, etc. I used that team to beat HARD mode and it took ~3 tries. I've found that the best order for islands (for hard) is Detritus -> Archive -> RST. Detritus and the poison helps you increase your damage output, Archive is a great easy island, and I favor RST over Pinnacle since Pinnacle can be a nightmare. Cap damage, buff your power grid, and rush the final island as fast as you can. Also the pilot who's immune to web/clouds is great for Hard mode since webbing quickly becomes a problem."This is the true face of a man who plays paladin."- Equinox

I've been playing throughRadiant Historia: Perfect Chronologybecause havingRadiant Historiaremastered for the 3DS is like a dream come true.
Things I like so far:- Friendly Mode is amazing. I like challenging combat as much as the next person, but I don't have time or, frankly, patience for grinding anymore, and nowadays it's the main reason for me to drop a game. Being able to skip battles by whacking enemies on the map and still getting loot and XP is pretty great, and I don't mind shortening what is easily a 40-hour game to significantly less than that.
- Minor characters that have available quests now have a quest marker above them, so one doesn't have to go all over the city talking to every random person trying to get all of the quests.
- The voices, with exception of Nemesia, are decent thus far, which is a major step over Bravely Default. I low-key enjoy listening to the person voicing Stocke.
- Pretty game is still pretty, and the gorgeous soundtrack definitely sounds better than it did on the DS.
- Nemesia. RPGfan liked the character, so there must be a redeeming quality somewhere, but I hatedher entrance. Good god. She could have screamed "I'm an anime trope", and there wouldn't have been a lick of difference. There were immediate regrets playing on Perfect mode.
- The portraits for the DS release were beautiful. The ones for the 3DS release are more conventional. Dislike. There's DLC for turning on classic portraits, but any new characters would have the new portraits for obvious reasons, so it didn't make sense to play that way.
- There's a DLC for a swimwear scenario? Dislike, angry emoji, etc. I appreciate it not being part of the game proper, but I feel kind of ill about the fact that it exists and that this re-release plays into so many classic anime tropes.
In other news, I'm also playing throughBravely Defaultagain because it's been more than three years since I last played it. I continue to loatheAce Attorney: Dual Destinies, but I might as well finish it.- DeathNote

Slay the Spire has been absolutely killing my free time, and I love it.In post 2932, hasdgfas wrote:I have been obsessed with Slay the Spire for about a week now. A great combination of roguelike and deckbuilder, with a lot of room for variety, and a lot of room to grow.
I admit I'm getting a tad frustrated with high ascension levels. Ascension 11 is stonking bullshit, and there's legit runs where I feel like I couldn't have done too much different.ShowThat which is done out of love always takes place beyond good and evil

I'm not that far in yet so I dunno about masterpiece but it is REALLY good so farxRECKONERx wrote:the reviews weren't lying: god of war is a masterpiece
I'm playing through on challenging so I'm dying at least once on most boss fights (and the opening areas before you actually get good skills/armor/etc were a biiiiitch), but figuring them out and beating them is really satisfying and there's a ton of cool exploration shit to do and the game is godamn beautiful
greenmangaming has it a few bucks off btw assuming you just want the digital download, was 10% off over the weekend and it looks like 5% off now still-
